ㅤㅤㅤThe most famous symbol ofㅤ Apollo is the bow and arrow. 𝓞ther symbols are the kithara musical instrument, the sword, and the divination altar, which symbolizes Apollo's divination powers. Once every four years, the Pythian Games were held at Delphi in honor of Apollo. In the competition, laurel trees were used as offerings and rewards. The palm tree was also sacred to Apollo because on Delos, he was born under a palm tree. ─ #𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎 Apollo's sacred animals included the wolf, dolphin, roe deer, swan cicada (symbolizing music), eagle, raven, snake (symbolizing Aoollo as the god of prophecy), rat and griffin. As tbe god of colonization, Apollo became a guide for seekers of new territories.

ㅤㅤ 𖤝‌.. He has a bow made of gold. The laurel tree, the raven, and the dolphin are sacred to him. Medicine and healing were attributed to him or to his son, Asklepios (god of medicine), as Apollo was seen as the god who brought health, plague. As the god of music, Apollo was the leader of the Muse (goddesses of music and song). Hermes created the lyre for Apollo and the musical instrument became an important attribute of Apollo. called paian. In ancient Greece, especially in the third century BC, she was associated with Helios (God of the Sun) and her sister, Artemis, was associated with Selene (goddess of the moon). ㅤㅤ

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ#𝟑𝟗𝟐𝟑'𝐗𝐗 In the context of literature, Apollo symbolizes order and order, in contrast to Dionysos, a god who symbolizes joy and lack of order. Nevertheless, the Greeks considered them complementary: the two gods were brothers, and when Apollo in the winter went to Hyperborea, he entrusted his oracle to Dionysos. Apollo and Dionysus are depicted on two sides of the Borghese Vase. Apollo is depicted as a handsome, beardless young man, sometimes holding a kithara (as Apollo Kitharoedus) or arrows, or leaning against a tree (Apollo Lykeios and Apollo Sauroktonos).

ㅤ★. Another possibility is that apellai comes from an ancient form of Apollo that could be equated with Appaliunas, an Anatolian god whose name possibly means "father of lions" or "father of light". ㅤ★. The Greeks associated the name Apollo with the verb απολλυμι (apollimi) meaning "to destroy". ㅤ★. In modern times, it has been suggested that the name Apollo comes from the name of the god of Hurrian and Hittian mythology, Aplu, who was worshiped during the "time of the plague". ㅤ★. Aplu itself comes from Akkadian mythology, Aplu Enlil, meaning "son of Enlil", a title given to the god Nergal, who was connected to Shamash, the Babylonian Sun god
