4 cops shot dead in Carolina warrant shootout North Carolina police confirmed the suspect was eventually shot dead as well by the second wave of officers who arrived at the suburban Charlotte home, with a further 4 officers being wounded. The three-hour standoff only ended after a US Marshals Task Force smashed several armored vehicles into the house and killed the suspect. Missing emergency slide that fell off Delta flight found - The Post The emergency slide that fell off a Delta flight departing from JFK Airport on Friday was found two days later. Ironically it washed up in front of the beachside house of New York attorney Jake Bissell-Linsk whose firm filed a lawsuit against Boeing following the Alaska Airlines door blowout in January.
