Cause sleep disturbances 3-lova in mealing to increase absorption -all the drug metabolism by CYP450 except paravastatin -taking this drug in bed time becouse increase synthersis of chlosetrol Adverse effect 1-hepatic dysfunction (increased enzymes) 2-myopathy and rhabdomyolysis especially if combined with fibrate drud 3-cross the placenta so not give to pregnant 4-Git proplem 2- fibrate drug (TG ) 1-increse action of lipase so increase lysis of triglycerides 2- decreae apoprotein 3-increse HDL -Name of drug (fenofibrate -clofibrate -gemfibrozil (more potent) _1- fenofibrate more effective than gemfibrozil in lower TG 2-fenofibrate have large bound to albumin so increase effect of warfarin 3-prodrug Adverse effect :choleithiasis and myositis 3-bile acid sequestrant : chloestyramine (powder -colestipol(powder)_colesevelam (tablet) Mechanism: bind to bile acid and increase excretion so increase cholesterol convert to bile acid Uses: 1-type 2 hyperlipidemia 2-relieve pruritus 3-colesevelam in DM 4-chronic diarrhea Kinetics: take before bed time -other drug should be taken at least 1-2hour before take bile acid sequencet Adverse :1-impair absorption of vitamin 2-increase TG so dont give in patients with hypetriglyeridemia 3-git disturbance
