🇱🇾 Libya thwarts smuggling attempt of 100 kg of gold, 1.5 mln euros Libya's Internal Security Agency said on Saturday it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle 100 kg (220 lb) of gold and 1.5 million euros at Misrata international airport during a security check of an international flight. The gold bars were found in three suitcases while the money was in one suitcase. The suitcases were spotted during the security inspection process of a flight to Turkey, said the agency. A number of pictures posted by the agency showing the confiscated suitcases containing gold bars and bundles of euro banknotes. Misrata is a port city about 200 km (125 miles) east of the capital Tripoli. The agency added that "those responsible for these suitcases were arrested." In May, the Tripoli-based attorney general said it ordered the arrest of director general of customs and other officials at Misrata international airport over conspiring to smuggle nearly 26,000 kg of gold. @LibyanIntel

🇦🇫♥️🇮🇷 - After Previously Refusing to Stand Up for the Pakistani Anthem in Peshawar and then Refusing to Stand Up for the Iranian Anthem, the Taliban Delegation at the "Islamic Unity Conference" in Tehran stood for the Iranian anthem. This followed an apology by a Taliban official to Iran for not standing up for the Iranian anthem previously. 🗒️NOTE: The fact that the Taliban chose to stand for the anthem of a Shia nation (one that helped overthrow their previous government) and not for the anthem of a non-Shia nation goes to show how they have become yet another "Islamic" group simply pretending to be Muslims. The Pakistani anthem doesn't deserve to be stood up for either, but the inconsistency is subservience at its finest. And "sectarianism" aside, music is considered haram in Islam.
