Java vs C++: Know the Major Similarities & Differences
πWhat are the similarities between Java vs C++?
β
These two languages are highly similar in terms of syntax and language features.
β
The syntax is nearly the same. The main function is the entry point for both languages, meaning execution begins with the main function. C++ and Java code comments are identical. The data types are comparable. Loops, conditional statements, arithmetic operators, classes, variable declarations, variable initializations, value assignments, and so on are all identical.
πWhat are the differences between Java vs C++?
There are some differences between Java and C++ programming, which are as follows:
β
Platform independence
Java is platform agnostic. It may run on any platform once compiled into byte code.
On the other hand, C++ is a platform-specific language. Every platform requires a compilation of the C++ source code.
β
Portability
Portability is an essential factor in the difference between Java vs C++.
Java converts the code into byte code. However, this byte code is portable, meaning it can run on any platform.
Whereas, the C++ programming language is not portable. It must compile separately for each platform.
β
Memory management
The system manages memory management in Java.
On the other hand, memory management in C++ is done manually. We must manually allocate and deallocate memory using the new/delete operators.
β
Overloading
The next factor is overloading in the difference between Java vs C++.
Only method overloading is possible in Java. Operator overloading does not permit.
Whereas, methods and operators in C++ can overload. This is known as static polymorphism.
β
Thread support
Java has thread functionality in the form of the class "thread." We may override the run function by inheriting the thread class.
On the other hand, C++ does not have thread support. It mostly makes use of third-party threading libraries.

12 Tips to learn any new technology in less timeπ
Learning a new technology can be a scary task, but it doesn't have to be if you plan ahead of time.
1. Research
First and foremost, you must devote sufficient time to researching the technology you intend to learn. You must understand what technology is all about, what its merits and drawbacks are, and most significantly, what you will gain by studying that technology.
2. Resources
Now that you've found out why you'd like to learn this technology, what's next? The next stage is to identify learning resources. The official documentation is my own preference.
I understand that learning from documentation might be challenging, but trust me when I say that it will save you a lot of time. If I don't understand something in the documentation, I go to YouTube and look up that issue, which is taught in a more straightforward manner.
Once you've gotten used to it, learning from documentation alone can help you learn 5 times faster than videos.
3. Learn when you require
Each language is enormous, and learning all is impossible. Find out what you need to know and learn it.
There's no point in learning something you're not sure you'll use in the future. Find out when you'll need it.
4. Strong Fundamentals :
You only need to know the fundamentals of any language, which should take no longer than two weeks to study. Spending too much time watching tutorials is a bad idea.
When you begin practicing, you will quickly learn. It's fine to start with simple projects like a calculator or a weather app, but you should progress to more difficult projects to test your abilities and gain a better understanding of the language.
5. Test Your own ideas :
You must put your own ideas into practice in a language you are learning.
6. Learn when to stop coding
If you've been stuck on a problem for more than 30 minutes, take a break or come back to it the next day.
I've spent countless nights pounding my head against a wall, just to wake up the next morning and solve the problem in minutes.
7. Share what you learn
This, believe me, will be extremely beneficial to you. When I first started doing tutorials, I learned a lot more since I put in more effort to explain topics to others in a clearer way, which helps me expand my own knowledge.
8. Strive for Progress, not Perfection
It's fine if your code isn't flawless. This is a necessary step in the learning process. Focus first on getting your code to work, then rewrite and remove unnecessary code, improve methods, and so on.
9. Ask for help
If you find yourself in a problem. Google is obviously a good place to start, but if you don't find what you're looking for, ask on Stack Overflow, Reddit, or any other forum. This will aid in the development of your reputation on these platforms.
10. Join Communities
For almost anything, there is a community. Join the javascript discord server if you're learning JavaScript. Ask questions and offer assistance to others. Make new contacts. You don't have to learn alone when you can learn with others.
11. Join Hackathons
We don't participate in hackathons since we believe we don't have enough knowledge. This is a major blunder; you cannot master any technology. In a hackathon, you can join any team and offer your assistance. You will have a far better learning experience than working in a silo.
12. Networking
I cannot emphasize enough how important networking is for a developer. It has the potential to completely transform your life. All you have to do is share what you're learning and follow folks who share your interests. Engage with their content.
