A few weeks ago, I had a deep conversation with one of my friends where I shared some of my recent realizations. I've currently come to understand that I've been living in a constant state of fight or flight for the past five years, always taking on every responsibility, planning ahead (Interestingly enough, I've always had back-up plans for my plan As😅), creating different scenarios and preparing for the worst or being afraid of hurting others and always caring about their feelings, which was of course, mentally draining. I've basically neglected my own needs and wants for a few years and tried to turn off my emotions and pretended to be "an emotionless lady", reckoning this is the sole way to control them. However, now I've reached a point where I simply don't wanna care about anything or anyone, nor take on any responsibilities. But guess what? I simply can't help being me: still creating chaos and various scenarios in my mind. Well, it's probably part of being human. The bar graph illustrates the share of adults from 5 distinct age brackets making use of the Internet between 2003 and 2006. Overall, the Internet usage of all age categories increased over the span, albeit to different extents. It is also worth noting that the youngest age group was the primary user of the Internet, while the oldest used the Internet the least. Looking at the age groups who used the Internet most, in the initial two years, four-fifths of 16-24-year-olds were reported to actively use the Internet, a figure which rose by 20% in 2005 before dropping to around 90% in the final year. Ranking second and third respectively, the figures for people aged from 25 to 44 and from 45 to 54 followed somewhat similar growth patterns. The percentage of the former started at roughly a half, which was 10% less than that of the latter. These figures then exhibited a gradual increase of 30% and 20% respectively, finishing the period with a whopping 80% each. Regarding the remaining age brackets, they showed less interest in using the Internet. Around a third of those aged from 55 to 64 used the Internet in the first year, after which this figure rose to nearly 50% by 2006. The proportion of the oldest age group, however, was nowhere near: just under a fifth of individuals within this category utilized the Internet in 2003, and having a slight dip after a year, this share went up to 20% in 2006. #task1 #bar_chart
