SEVEN WAYS TO IMPROVE WRITING There are mainly seven effective ways to improve your writing skills: Practice regularly: Writing regularly is one of the most effective ways to improve your writing skills. Set aside some time each day to write, even if it's just a few sentences. Read extensively: Reading extensively is a great way to improve your writing skills. By reading widely, you can learn new vocabulary, sentence structures, and writing styles that you can incorporate into your own writing. Seek feedback: Getting feedback on your writing is essential for improving your skills. Ask a teacher, tutor, or friend to read your writing and give you constructive feedback. Study grammar and vocabulary: Having a good understanding of grammar and vocabulary is essential for writing well. Take time to study grammar rules and learn new vocabulary words. Analyze good writing: Analyzing good writing can help you understand what makes it effective. Read articles, essays, and books that are well-written and analyze what makes them good. Use writing prompts: Writing prompts can be a helpful way to generate ideas and practice writing. There are many writing prompt books and websites available online. Take a writing course: Taking a writing course can provide structure and guidance for improving your writing skills. Look for courses at a local community college or online. P.S. Remember, improving your writing skills takes time and practice. Be patient with yourself and keep practicing regularly to see improvement over time.

▫️Read many articles Ensure that you read as many articles as you can. This will provide a certain level of experience and confidence. This is the most important tip here. ▫️Title The title of the text that you are reading will tell you what the text is all about. First, read the title. It will give you an idea of the content of the text. ▫️Skimming This is an IELTS reading task technique that allows you to read through a given text quickly and efficiently while identifying the main ideas of the text. ▫️Scanning This is a technique where you read through every line very quickly, looking for a specific word or phrase. It comes in handy when you are looking for a one-word answer. ▫️Use Keywords This is self-explanatory. Reading a text without identifying the keywords is a suicide mission! Ensure that you mark some of the keywords, as they will be helpful when the time for answering questions comes. You wouldn’t need more time to scan through the text again. ▫️Time management The IELTS reading task module is 60 minutes long. Do NOT share time equally so that you allocate each question twenty minutes. ▫️Check grammar Be extra careful with the grammar at the beginning of the questions. If you are not careful enough you may end up answering oppositely with all your gathered confidence. ▫️Do not read the whole text There will never be enough time to read through all the text. There are parts of that text that you will never find any question rising from so no need to read. Your job is to look for the right answers, not read everything. ▫️If you can’t find an answer to the current question, leave it pending and proceed The trick here is moving from the known to the unknown, so just mark it and move on to answer another question. Once you have finished writing your answers, go back for them. ▫️ It is very tragic to answer all the questions on the question paper and get caught up before transferring them to the answer sheet After answering every question, just flip over to your answer sheet and write your answer. ▫️Spelling mistakes will always count Try as much as possible to check your spelling when you are writing short answers, and if you get time after answering all the questions, then check once again in case you made any spelling errors. ▫️Intelligent guessing At times, you’ll be given difficult words in the passage which you may have no clue at all. What should help you make a correct guess is the context in which the word has been used. Certainly, this difficult word will always be related to the topic of the given text.
