| 4 | VIT ChemFest 2024 for Bachelor Degree Students on the Theme of Innovation in Chemical Sciences, 16 March 2024, Chemistry Division, School of Advanced Sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai-600127, Tamil Nadu
This event is intended for BSc final year students from various other colleges / institutions. The brochure for the same is attached along with. Kindly circulate to larger groups, for the students to be benefited.

General Instructions:
1. No entry Fee.
2. Last Date for Registration: 15-03-2024
3. E-Certificates will be issued to all the participants and winners will be rewarded with prizes along with appreciation certificate.
Events:
Quiz:
Ø Individual or group (2 members) participation.
Ø There will be two rounds of quizzes.
Ø Round 1: 12th standard-level basic chemistry questions.
Ø From round 1, the top 10 students will be selected for the round 2 quiz.
Ø Round 2: Undergraduate-level chemistry questions relevant to the theme.
Power point Presentation:
Ø Presentations should be closely aligned with the theme “Innovations in Chemical Sciences".
Ø Slides should be sent to chemfestvit@gmail.com on or before 15th March 2024. The subject line of the mail should mention “PPT_Individual Name_college” and the file should be named "PPT_Title_IndividualName".
Ø Must be restricted to 12 slides and should be limited to 6 mins and 2 mins for question and answer.
Scavenger Hunt:
Ø Group participation - 3 to 4 students per group
Ø Find the hidden treasure by following chemical signs (clues) places at different locations.
Debate:
Ø Team of 3 participants.
Ø There will be a screening round. Top 2 teams will be selected for the final round.
Ø Topics will be given on the spot and 15 minutes will be given for preparation.
Chem Charades:
Ø Guessing game with a maximum of 2 – 4 participants
Ø Chemistry related topic will be given and the team should guess that through miming.
Ø One person should give the gestures and the others should guess the topic.
Cine Quiz:
Ø Maximum 2 - 4 participants per team.
Ø Fun quiz from movies
Chem Pictionary:
Ø Maximum 2 - 4 participants per team.
Ø One member in a team should pick a card.
Ø The will be sketch the content in one minute without using letters or symbols.
Ø The team should guess the word.
Ø Team scoring maximum point in multiple rounds will win
Shadow Chemistry:
Individual participant. Students can showcase their photographic skills through scientific pictures captured in the campus (on the spot).
