+1Russia's New Kamikaze Drone Has Become Much Cheaper and More Dangerous.
In Russia, a new kamikaze drone "Scalpel" has been created, which is an intermediate link between the "Lancet" and "Geranium". The drone benefits from a lower price, modular design, and the ability to carry any ammunition.
"Scalpel" is a cheaper analogue of the "Lancet" and potentially more mass-produced. It has a payload of 5 kg, a cruising speed of 120 km/h and a flight range of 40 km.
According to the plan, several thousand instances will be produced by the end of 2024. The standard Lancet has the same range, but the speed and payload are slightly less - up to 110 km/h and 3 kg, respectively. At the same time, the device itself weighs only 12 kg.
