የኢትዮጵያ ወንጌላዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን መካነ ኢየሱስ የልማት እና ማህበራዊ አገልግሎት ኮሚሽን 21ኛ ጠቅላላ ጉባኤውን አቶ ሰለሞን ሽፈራው ለቀጣይ አራት አመታት በኮሚሽነርነት እንዲያገሉ በመምረጥ ጉባኤውን አጠናቋል። ወደ አገልግሎቱ የሚመጡት አቶ ሰለሞን ሽፈራ የአገልግሎት ጊዜያቸውን ባጠናቀቁት ዶ/ር አበያ ዋቅወያን ምትክ ይሆናል። አቶ ሰለሞን ኮሚሽኑን በተለያዩ ደረጃዎች ላለፉት አስርት አመታት ያገለገሉ ሲሆን በቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ የልማት አገልግሎት ፍልስፍና ዙሪያ በቂ ግንዛቤ አላቸው። የኢ/ወ/ቤ/ክ መካነ ኢየሱስም ለአቶ ሰለሞን አዲስ የአመራር ምዕራፍ መልካም ምኞትዋን ለመግለጽ ትወዳለች። ኮሚሽኑንም ወደሚቀጥለው ሁለንተናዊ የተጽኖ ምዕራፍ ለማሻገር ቤተ ክርስቲያን በአቶ ሰለሞን አመራር ላይ በፀሎት የሆነ እምነቷን አስቀምጣለች። በድጋሚ እንኳን ደስ ያልዎት! * * * * * * The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Service Commission (EECMY-DASSC) concluded its 21st General Assembly electing Mr. Solomon Shiferaw to serve as a commissioner for the coming Four years. An incoming Commissioner Solomon Shiferaw, replaces the incumbent commissioner, Dr. Abaya whose service term in the office just ended. Mr. Solomon has served the commission in different capacities over the last two decades and he is well versed with the ministry philosophy of the EECMY. The EECMY extends its sincere wishes as Mr. Solomon is embarking to a new chapter of leadership role. The church prayerfully places such a high confidence in the leadership of Commissioner Solomon to transit the commission to the next height of wholistic impact. Once again, Congratulations!

At the end of the workshop, the national coordinator for Bible translation, Scripture engagement, and Language development of the Church, Rev. Solomon Haile acknowledged Lutheran Bible translators, a sponsor organization, on the workshop. He also thanked trainers and participants of the workshop for their active engagement. The national coordinator has also reminded the participants to use the application efficiently for the effectiveness of the program.

Rev79 app workshop aiming to modernize project planning and reporting works is underway at Addis Ababa * * * * * * For the translation projects of the Church, the Lutheran Bible Translation is funding, and for the Bible transition national coordination office staff, a Rev79 app training is taking place this week. The application helps the translation teams set weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans and submit timely reports according to their progress. Following that, the reports filled on the application will be reviewed and approved by all coordinators at different levels, and will be sent to the national coordination office via the application. Compiling all the reports from the translation projects, the application is developed in the capacity to be able to send the final report to church’s Department of Mission and Theology leading the translation ministry on the church level and for all stakeholder partners. The technology eliminates the currently used paper-based reporting systems and facilitates vital information exchange between the projects and the central coordination office. When the application gets to be in use fully, it will enable to follow up closely, accomplishments, impact stories, challenges, and prayer questions of the translation projects. Trainers and staff of partner organizations from Cameron, Tanzania, Botswana, and America are participating in the workshop.
