Take feminism + add a hijab = Islam.
Feminism says:
Build your career. Chase your dreams. Become independent. Compete with men. Build a corporate empire.
Then Islamic feminism comes and says:
Yes, you can do all of that! Islam doesn't stop you. Just wear a hijab.
and finally comes a more dawah-oriented feminism making it more islamic by: Well, building corporate careers are not a good thing, how about the da'wah career?
Hijab is not a choice. It is an obligation from Allah.
If hijab doesn't stop women from building career, Islam certainly does!
Women's primary career is motherhood. staying in the house. nurturing children. all other out-of-the house female oriented careers are exceptions.
Allah says in the quran : And abide in your houses ...33:33
A woman’s primary sphere of responsibility is her home and family: nurturing her children, caring for her household, and fulfilling the responsibilities of motherhood. Work and other activities outside the home may be permissible in certain circumstances and for legitimate needs, but they are not the default model of a woman’s role.
Hijab isn't just a piece of cloth for covering the face. it is an Ibadah, a worldview, the paradigm, the modesty, and a feminine characteristic
Allah tells us the logic of hijab in the quran:
"O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." 33:59
This indicates that harm would occur if they do not cover themselves. This is because if they do not wear the hijab, it might be assumed that they are not chaste; thus, someone with a disease in his heart would harass them and cause them harm..(Tafseer As Sa'adi)
So what is the point of saying observing hijab if a woman then spends her life outside, freely mixing with men, competing in the same environment as men, and making career-building the main goal of her life?
The question is not:
“Can a woman wear hijab and have a career?”
The question is:
“Why are we so desperate to prove that Islam accepts the feminist definition of success?”
–Shaykh Hunain Habib حفظه الله| 2 | We Are the Mothers of the Next Generation
Our mindset should be different from the majority of people.
The next generation will be raised by us. In shā Allāh, if we nurture them with the right tarbiyah, they may grow up to be among those who serve the truth and support the Ummah. It is our responsibility to keep them away from the things that could distance them from Allah.
From a young age, let them become familiar with the recitation of the Qur’an instead of poems and music. Teach them to cover their awrah, whether they are boys or girls. Teach them the importance of Allah, Salah, the Qur’an, and every part of their deen.
Teach them to love obedience before they become attached to the dunya. Teach them what is halal and what is haram while they are still young, so that these boundaries become natural to them.
Do not allow them to become overly free with their non-mahram cousins, because many haram relationships begin with such familiarity. Teach them that being family does not make a non-mahram permissible.
Because one day, the children we are raising today will become the fathers and mothers of another generation.
The tarbiyah we give them today may shape generations after us, bi'idhnillahi ta'ala. | 988 |

| 5 | Some Muslim couples don't have a marriage problem. They have a phone problem.
They live in the same house, sleep in the same room and eat at the same table, yet barely spend any real time together.
The husband is on YouTube. The wife is on Instagram. And whenever there is a free moment, instead of speaking to each other, both reach for their phones.
Slowly, without even noticing, something dies.
The long conversations disappear. The jokes disappear. You stop asking how the other person is really doing. You stop discussing your dreams, your Deen, children and plans.
Eventually, you sit beside the person you married and still remain miles apart.
But for a Muslim marriage, there can be an even bigger loss.
The habit of worshipping Allah together slowly begins to disappear.
When was the last time you sat together and read Qur'an? Reminded each other of an Ayah? Discussed something you learnt about Islam? Spoke about Jannah? Made Du'a together?
Allah ﷻ says:
"And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought." (Surah ar-Rum 30:21)
Affection needs attention. You cannot keep giving your best attention to a screen and expect your marriage to somehow survive on whatever is left.
Look at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
`Aishah رضي الله عنها said: "I raced the Prophet ﷺ and beat him on foot. Later, when I had put on weight, we raced again and he beat me. He said, 'This is for that race.'" (Sunan Abi Dawud 2578)
Think about that.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ carried the responsibility of an Ummah. Revelation was coming to him. He was teaching, leading, judging and calling people to Allah.
Yet there was still time to be present with his wife.
Time to laugh. Time to play. Time to create memories.
This is part of good companionship.
Ibn Kathir رحمه الله said regarding the Prophet ﷺ: "It was from his character that he had beautiful companionship, was always cheerful, played with his family, treated them gently, spent generously on them and laughed with his wives." (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Surah an-Nisa' 4:19)
Today many of us say, "I'm really busy, dear."
But somehow we aren't that busy for hours of scrolling.
And our children are watching all of this.
To them, "family time" becomes Baba on his phone, Mama on her phone and the children on their tablets.
Everyone is home, but nobody is really together.
Then one day the child becomes a teenager, locks himself in his room and doesn't speak to his parents, and we wonder what happened.
Maybe for years we taught him that this is what family looks like.
And there is something even more serious than losing closeness in this Dunya.
What is this doing to our Akhirah?
Your spouse isn't merely someone you share bills, children and a bedroom with.
This is someone who can help you reach Jannah.
Someone who can wake you for prayer, remind you when your Iman drops, encourage you towards Qur'an, stop you when you're doing wrong and help you raise children who know Allah.
Imagine reaching the end of your life and realising that thousands of hours that could have been spent building your marriage, raising your children and worshipping Allah together disappeared into a screen.
The phone isn't the enemy.
But when something begins taking you away from the people and responsibilities Allah entrusted you with, it needs to be put back in its place.
Put the phone away during meals. Or better yet, keep it away as soon as you get home.
Give your spouse at least 30 minutes where they have your complete attention.
Read even one page of Qur'an together.
Sit with your children without holding a screen.
Talk. Laugh. Listen. Remind each other about Allah.
Build memories that exist outside your camera roll.
Because one day the children will leave. | 1 695 |

*Don't Turn Love Into Innovation
.
No one loved the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than Allah, then the Messenger ﷺ himself, then his noble Companions رضي الله عنهم.
So ask yourself sincerely:
Is there a single ayah supporting the celebration of Mawlid?
NO.
Did the Prophet ﷺ ever encourage his Ummah to celebrate his birthday?
NO.
Did any of the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم celebrate it, or take his birthday as a special occasion to teach Seerah and Shamā’il?
NO.
Then what are we doing?
Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said:
“Loving the Prophet ﷺ is not to organise his birthday (Mawlid). Rather, loving him requires following him, holding onto his Sharī‘ah, defending it, calling to it, and being firm upon it. This is real love for the Prophet ﷺ. ”
[فتاوى نور على الدرب، الجزء الأول]
Love for the Messenger ﷺ is not proven by introducing something he never did. True love is shown by following him, obeying him, and holding firmly to his Sunnah.
Allah ﷻ says:
> الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا
“ They are those whose efforts are lost in the life of this world, while they think that they are doing good.”
[سورة الكهف، الآية ١٠٤]
One proof is enough for the sincere heart.
Shaykh al-Albānī رحمه الله said:
“ The person who is seeking the truth, one evidence will be enough for him. A person who is upon his desires, a thousand evidences will still not be clear to him.”
[الهدى والنور]
If we truly love the Messenger ﷺ, then his Sunnah should be enough for us. If he ﷺ did not do it, then what do we have that is better than his Sunnah? | 2 677 |
| 9 | Motherhood Is Worship
Being a mother is not an obstacle in your Ibadah. It is one of the greatest fields of worship when done sincerely for the sake of Allah.
Those sleepless nights? That’s Sabr.
Nursing through exhaustion? That’s Sadaqah.
The routine household chores? That’s Ihsan, even when nobody notices.
Teaching your child their first words of Dhikr is Dawah, whether they ever practice it or not.
Rocking your crying child back to sleep at 3 am is Rahmah in its purest form.
And swallowing your own wants for their sake: that's Jihad against your Nafs.
None of it is small.
Allah sees the meal you ate cold because your children came first. He sees the tears you wiped away in the dark of the night, and the Dua’ you whispered over your sleeping child. He sees what nobody else ever thanked you for.
Allah says:
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا
“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds.” (Surah al-Kahf 18:30)
A child’s heart is pure and unformed, a trust placed in your hands, ready to take whatever shape you give it. Whatever you plant in your child now is what will grow.
And Ibn al-Qayyim warned:
“Whoever neglects to teach their child what will benefit them, and leaves them without guidance, has wronged them in the gravest of ways.” (Tuhfat al-Mawdud bi Ahkam al-Mawlud 1/337)
Many women think they are just ‘stay at home’ mothers. The Salaf never saw it that way.
They knew such women are the ones who raise the Ulama, the worshippers, the Du`at, and leaders of this Ummah from inside their homes. A mother's lap was the first Madrassah for some of the greatest men and women in Islamic history.
Never belittle your role.
That child you teach to say “Alhamdulillah” today may teach thousands of people tomorrow. That Qur'an you recite beside their bed may stay on their tongue until they meet Allah. That Du’a you make in Sujood may be the reason Allah guides generations after you.
Nothing done sincerely for Allah is ever wasted. It is all being written.
But motherhood is not a reason to stop seeking knowledge. It’s the reason you need it most. Your children deserve more than your time. They deserve your guidance, and guidance is built on knowledge.
The better you know Allah, the better you will teach your children to know Him. The better you understand the Qur'an and the Sunnah, the more you will be able to nurture their hearts and minds.
Your Tarbiyah can only rise as high as your own understanding of this Deen.
So take out time, however little. One lesson a day. One page of a book. Consistent. Even if it's small.
Perhaps one of the greatest gifts you can give your children is not only a mother who sacrifices for them, but a mother who keeps learning her Deen and lets them see her live by it.
Because the first Madrassah your child will ever know is you.
Make sure it's a good one.

Every moment of fatigue endured for Allah will never be lost. The believer does not seek complete comfort here, because the everlasting comfort is waiting in Jannah. | 2 572 |

Many people today are selling and wearing necklaces and bracelets with Āyat al-Kursī, believing they will offer protection. But what is the difference between this and an amulet (taʿwīdh)?
The Prophet ﷺ said:
Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk.
[Musnad Aḥmad (16969)]
The Prophet ﷺ made it clear that wearing amulets is shirk, as protection comes from Allah alone, not from objects.
The Qur'an was revealed to be recited, understood, and acted upon, not worn as decoration. Those who believe merely wearing it is enough have fallen into false beliefs. Worse, they disrespect the words of Allah by taking them into places of impurity.
The widespread sale and promotion of such items today further misguides people into thinking that protection comes from the object itself, not from a sincere connection to Allah.
True protection comes from tawḥīd, tawakkul, and following the Sunnah.

| 16 | We spend so much of our lives planning for a wedding, building a home, chasing careers, collecting memories, and dreaming of growing old together. Yet every one of those dreams ends at a grave. There is only one place where love never ends, where there are no arguments, no illness, no distance, no fear of loss, and no final goodbye: Jannah. So don’t just pray for a spouse who makes your dunya easier. Pray for a spouse who wakes you for Fajr when you’re tired, reminds you of Allah when your heart becomes distracted, holds your hand through repentance, and helps you become the kind of person worthy of Paradise. Because the greatest love story is not finding someone to spend this life with. It is finding someone who, by the mercy of Allah, you will spend eternity with. May Allah make our marriages a path to Jannatul Firdaus, where every embrace lasts forever and every reunion has no end.

If marriage is not written for you, remember Maryam عليها السلام. Though she never married, Allah honored her above the women of her time and granted her an everlasting legacy in this world and the Hereafter.
If your pregnancy is delayed and people hurt you with their words, remember the wife of Zakariyya عليها السلام. When hope seemed impossible, Allah blessed them with a child despite their old age.
If you are tested with a sinful or oppressive husband, remember Asiya رضي الله عنها. Though she lived under one of history's greatest tyrants, Allah raised her to be among the women of Paradise.
