Yeah, this one is a bit challenging, indeed. So no worries 🤗 There’s a similar word to “upend” with a slightly different meaning. The word is “upset”. Yep, it is also used as a verb ☝🏻 If you upset an object, you accidentally knock or push it over so that it scatters over a large area e.g. He was so drunk that he upset the table spilling food everywhere Other synonyms: knock over, overturn, tip over & topple As for “upend”, it has one more meaning: (of a swimming duck or other waterbird) submerge the head and foreparts in order to feed, so that the tail is raised in the air e.g. A pair of swans were feeding by upending As you already know, heave can also mean push, pull, or lift smth heavy using a lot of effort e.g. It took 3 strong men to heave the couch up a ramp and lower it into place Also, if you heave, or if your stomach heaves, you vomit or feel sick. If you heave a sigh, you give a big sigh —- Was the entry exhaustive enough? 😼😺

Alright, so the word is “sweep” 🤗 Other meanings: 1️⃣ If you sweep an area of floor or ground, you push dirt or rubbish off it using a brush with a long handle e.g. The owner of the store was sweeping his floor when I walked in 2️⃣ If someone with long hair sweeps their hair into a particular style, they put it into that style e.g. Her long, fine hair was swept back in a ponytail 3️⃣ If your arm or hand sweeps in a particular direction, or if you sweep it there, it moves quickly and smoothly in that direction e.g. He swept his arm over her shoulder 4️⃣ If events, ideas, or beliefs sweep through a place, they spread quickly through it e.g. A flu epidemic swept through the country ❓ Do you know any other meanings?

Yep, the verb is “lounge”. It’s pretty versatile in meaning, too: 1️⃣ If you lounge around 🇺🇸 or lounge about 🇬🇧, you spend your time in a relaxed and lazy way, sometimes when you should be doing something useful 2️⃣ In a house, a lounge is a room where people sit and relax // syn. living/sitting room 3️⃣ In a hotel, club, or other public place, a lounge is a room where people can sit and relax 4️⃣ In an airport, a lounge is a very large room where people can sit and wait for aircraft to arrive or leave Did you know all of these?
