👋Let’s continue to talk about descriptive language, I see it’s your thing guys😅 Today let’s cover the verb belch, which has two meanings: 📗1) is kinda nasty, because it’s the synonym of the verb to burp 🤢 (to allow stinky air from the stomach to come out noisily through the mouth). btw it can be also used as a noun.   ✏️COMMON COLLOCATES • stifle a belch подавить отрыжку • pardon me for belching • he gave a loud belch • let out a belch   📕2) when machines, plants, volcanoes and etc. produce a large amount of gas or smoke, especially unpleasant or harmful, and it’s released from the stacks, chimneys, exhaust pipe and so on. ✏️COMMON COLLOCATES • the exhaust pipe belched out dense black smoke • smoke is belching from the stacks • volcano ash belched onto the surface • power plant belches carbon into the air   What are other synonyms of “belch”? Feel free to write them in the comments!😉 Make sure to leave a reaction, if you find this post fruitful!
