Developer Beta 1 is intended for app creators to test their software, not for daily personal use.
You should expect the following issues:

Early beta code lacks optimization. Your phone will run noticeably warmer and the battery will drain much faster than usual.

Your daily essential banking, payment, and regional apps may fail completely or crash on launch because they haven’t been updated for iOS 27 yet.

There is always a non-zero chance of a bug corrupting your local storage or causing you to lose messages, photos, or documents.

If you change your mind, you cannot just click "uninstall." Going back to a stable version requires a computer (Mac or PC) and a complete factory wipe of your phone.
Steps to Take Care Of (The Prerequisites)
Before you touch the update button, you must prepare a safety net.
🔳 Secure an Archive Backup (Crucial)
A standard iCloud backup will automatically overwrite itself with iOS 27 data once you update. If you need to downgrade later, an iOS 27 backup cannot be restored onto a phone running older software.Connect your iPhone to a Mac or a PC.Back up your entire device locally via Finder or iTunes. Pin/Archive the backup in your settings so your computer doesn't overwrite it later.

If Possible
It is highly recommended to install early developer betas only on a secondary or "test" device. If this is your primary daily driver, consider waiting until the Public Beta releases in July, which is traditionally much more stable.

If your backup is secure and you are ready to proceed, follow these steps to install the update:

Go to the Apple Developer Website on your browser. Sign in using your standard Apple ID. You do not need to pay for a premium developer account; accepting the basic terms unlocks the free tier.
🔺Reboot your iPhone
Syncs permissions
Restart your iPhone completely to ensure the system registers your newly updated Apple ID beta privileges.
🔺Navigate to Software Update In Settings
Open your iPhone's Settings app, tap General, and select Software Update.
🔺 Enable the Developer Beta channel

Tap the new Beta Updates row that appears below the main update section. Switch it from Off to iOS 27 Developer Beta.
