I often stay away from vendor drama and dislike involving Petit’ Ril Closet in situations unrelated to us. However, I won’t stay silent when my brand is randomly named and associated with another vendor’s alleged use of AI. For context, a vendor group was discussing someone who allegedly submitted AI-generated sneaks. Despite no involvement, PETIT (short for Petit’ Ril Closet) was suddenly guessed and our logo described as “kinda AI-ish idk.” Petit’ Ril Closet and our logo have existed for years, long before today’s AI branding trend. Genuine effort has gone into building this brand, so it is upsetting when someone unfamiliar with me or our history makes assumptions that may affect how others perceive us. This is not posted to invite hate, hence all identities are covered. I’m addressing it to protect my brand’s reputation after it was pulled into an unrelated discussion without basis. Please name brands responsibly in vendor spaces. A casual assumption can damage what another person spent years building.
