Traditional art produces a single original piece of work, which means by its very nature each piece of traditional artwork is unique and rare. Original art will almost always be more sought after and fetch a higher price than prints of the same piece of art.
2. Traditional Art is hard to replicate - art theft, while a huge issue in digital art, is almost a non-issue in traditional art
3. Traditional art has tactility and physical feedback - you can feel the friction as the tip of your pencil is dragged across a piece of paper. You can tell the difference between rough paper and smooth paper just from how it feels to draw on it.
4. Traditional art forces you to be more considerate and thoughtful about your process - mistakes are not so easy to fix, so you have to plan and think a lot more before making a new mark on the canvas. Considering your next stroke before you make it is a great practice that will improve your efficiency in time.
5. Traditional art requires materials, and sometimes less is more - when your materials are finite you have a limited amount of materials to work with. It forces you to consider your colour palette more, your textures and mark making and lends itself to a unified end result.

*1a.Cave or rock paintings are paintings painted on cave or rock walls and ceilings, usually dating to prehistoric times.*
*1b) i. Images painted, drawn or carved onto rocks and cave wallsβwhich have been found across the globeβreflect one of the humans' earliest forms of communication, with possible connections to language development.*
*1b) ii. The primary aim of understanding cave art consists of trying to fit the images found on rocks into some notional chronology.*
*1b) iii. Cave art is generally considered to have a symbolic or religious function, sometimes both. The exact meanings of the images remain unknown, but some experts think they may have been created within the framework of shamanic beliefs and practices.*
*1b) iv. The cave paintings informed and transmitted cultural and ritualistic aspects of hunting and daily life within the tribe. Thus, early cave paintings can be considered a form of media. These paintings were preserved for over 15,000 years, thus transcending space and time and giving current humans a glimpse of early life.*
*2a) decorative work in which elaborate patterns are formed by the insertion of pieces of material (such as wood, shell, or ivory) into a wood veneer that is then applied to a surface (as of a piece of furniture)*
*2b) Marquetry is a process of creating patterns and designs on objects like furniture using thin veneers or layers of materials like hardwood, shells or ivory. Pieces are cut and fit together to form a very decorative flat surface image. Marquetry is an old process that dates back thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians practiced a similar process in which they made inlay surfaces, which means filling recessed areas with small pieces of material. But marquetry developed into a sophisticated art form in Europe in the mid-1500s. Eventually, schools opened in places like France and Germany to teach marquetry, and it became a popular way to decorate furniture. The term comes from an old French word 'marketer,' which means to inlay.*
*3a) this included the repetitive and often thankless work of cleaning and repair that is essential to the functioning of domestic and public spaces.*
_3b) 1. Planning. Maintenance must start with proper planning. A risk assessment must be carried out and workers should be involved in this process._
_2. 2. Making the workplace safe. The work area needs to be secured by preventing unauthorized access, by using barriers and signs, for example. The area also needs to be kept clean and safe, with power locked out, moving parts of machinery secured, temporary ventilation installed, and safe routes established for workers to enter and exit the work area._
_3. Use of appropriate equipment. Workers involved in maintenance tasks should have the appropriate tools and equipment, which may be different from those that they normally use._
Considering that they may be working in areas that are not designed to have people working in them, and that they may be exposed to a variety of hazards, they must also have appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
4. Working as planned. Safe work procedures have to be communicated and understood by workers and supervisors and applied correctly. The work should be monitored so that the agreed safe systems of work and job site rules are observed.
5. Final check. The maintenance process needs to end with checks to make sure that the task has been completed, that the machine under maintenance is in a safe condition, and that all waste material that has been generated during the maintenance process has been cleaned away. When all is checked and declared safe, then the task can be signed off, and supervisors and other workers can be notified.
