BITS HAS AN UNOFFICIAL RESERVATION‼️ And I feel that it'll become more evident in the next 5 years 1) As the Fees increases every year at BITS, it has become almost unaffordable for 99% of the people, due to which many talented kids don't even consider applying. 2) The above reason has lead to the dilution in student quality at BITS which may very well be one of the reasons for low placement rate there. 3) Education loans exist for BITS students, that's true. But many middle-class students don't see the point of a huge loan, especially for programs outside of CS, MNC/ECE/EE (the high-paying ones). 4) Due to these factors, the "not-so lucrative" branches will have "relatively" more rich students and lower cut-offs than what they would've been if the fee was lower. It's like a hidden reservation system that unintentionally reserves seats in certain branches based on wealth
