Web Summit's founder, Paddy Cosgrave, steps down as CEO amidst controversy over a tweet expressing support for Palestine. Tech giants like Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, and Intel had previously withdrawn from the event. In his statement, Cosgrave expressed regret, acknowledging that his personal comments had become a distraction for the team, sponsors, startups, and attendees. He offered a sincere apology for any harm caused. Web Summit will swiftly appoint a new CEO, and the event scheduled for November 13th in Lisbon will proceed as planned, according to organizers.

💎Crypto News💎 Hal Finney is Not Satoshi Nakamoto? Cryptographer Jameson Lopp conducted research and stated that developer Hal Finney has nothing to do with the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. According to him, on April 18, 2009, Finney participated in a race held in Santa Barbara. He started at 8:00 AM local time and crossed the finish line after 78 minutes, claims Lopp. At the same time, Satoshi Nakamoto sent an email to Bitcoin developer Mike Hearn approximately 2 minutes before Finney crossed the finish line. Lopp's version is based on the fact that at that time, Hal Finney couldn't be at the computer and, therefore, may not be the creator of Bitcoin, as previously believed. In his research, Lopp also mentions a publication by the programmer's wife about a trip to a summit in San Francisco on August 14-15, 2010. According to her, Finney was diagnosed with lateral amyotrophic sclerosis, making it difficult for him to type on a keyboard. However, during that time, Nakamoto was actively involved in programming and participating in various online forums, as the researcher claims.
