8 years ago today, frank ocean released the masterpiece that is blonde. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ many of you probably don’t know this but, this photo has been my profile picture since the very first day i made the page back in july 2019. i was sitting in my parents’ sunroom when i was trying to come up with a name for the page. the entire room from ceiling to floor is surrounded by plants and different shades of green which inspired me to use the frank ocean shower photo. the hair color on frank really spoke to me, it reminded me of the plants. i was listening to this album a lot during that time, and it’s one of my favorite projects. while just staring at all the green around me i was also listening to “lost in the world” by ye, and he said the line “lost in this plastic life” and that’s how the name came into fruition, “aplasticplant” with the help from two of my favorite artists. 🌱💚
