We also added *FORTY STANDARD UTME QUESTIONS* on the topic.
You can't get this everywhere.
Only in *E-BRAINS ACADEMY*, you get this!!!
The *VIDEO SERIES COURSE*, drops with effect from today on our *TELEGRAM CHANNEL*. Use the link below to join and get yourself ready
https://t.me/EBrainsAcademy
Review session holds on the *MAIN GROUP* tonight, where students would have access to *SIR ERUDITE* and would be able to ask questions and all!
To be ADDED to the main group; all you need do is to invite five (5) of your friends via the *FLYER AND WRITE-UP+LINK*.
Send a DM to Eunice ; to be added on the Main Group!

7. Fractional distillation of air produces Nitrogen at about temperature of -196°C.
8. Duralumin is an alloy which contains Aluminum, Copper, Manganese and Magnesium. It is a strong, lightweight and malleable alloy. It is widely used in aircraft, pressure cooker etc
9. The main reason we used running cold water is to dilute the acid to inhibit further damage to the body. Some might thinks that using base is the best except if you want a reaction to occur on your body which I believe we don't want that to happen.
10. Electrolysis is the decomposition of a substance by the application of electric current. We have the electrode and electrolytes. The electrode is further classified into CATHODE & ANODE . Cathode is the negative electrode while the Anode is the positive electrode. The negative ions of the electrolyte migrates go the anode and the
positive ions migrates to the cathode. The positive ions lose electrons to become ionic (which is reduced) while the negative ions accept the ion to become ionic (ie oxidized). So in general, OXIDATION occurs at the Anode while REDUCTION at the Cathode.
The mnemonic for it is
CRAO
CR => Cathode = Reduction
AO => Anode = Oxidation
5. This is a bonus question which I expect everyone of us to be able to handle.
Recall that
A = P + N
Where
A = mass number = 37
P = no. of proton = 17
N = no. of neutron
M = atomic number
NB: in a neutral atom, the number of proton is equal to number of electron and equal to atomic number
A = M + N
N = A - M = 37 - 17 = 20
6. Nitrochalk aka Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) aka Nitro-limestone is widely used due to the fact that there's higher production of Nitrogen which is one of the essential elements needed by plants.
3. Stability to heat is correct for this. The factors that determine the method used includes:
i. Solubility
ii. Thermal stability
4. We all know that non metals form acidic oxides with oxygen while metals form basic oxides with oxygen. From the options given,all the elements there are all Non metals and are expected to form an acidic oxides with oxygen. So the answer is NONE OF THE ABOVE
1. I guess we're all familiar with this question. An atom is made up of three fundamental particles which are Proton, Electron and Neutron (ie PEN). The Proton and Neutron is located INSIDE the Nucleus while the Electron is located OUTSIDE the Nucleus.
2. A catalyst is a substance that speeds up the rate of chemical reaction without been used up in the reaction. A catalyst is just meant to speed the rate at which product is form at a particular temperature.
Originally Platinum is the most suitable catalyst for this reaction due to the fact that it's resistant to arsenic impurities but vanadium (v) oxide is now used in place of it nowadays.
Let review the questions one after the other so that we can understand better
