С 1 сентября! 💜 Пусть этот учебный год будет не про «я должен знать всё идеально», а про маленькие шаги вперёд. Не бойтесь ошибаться, забывать слова и иногда чувствовать, что ничего не получается. Именно так и выглядит настоящий процесс обучения. Главное - не сравнивайте себя с другими и помните, сколько вы уже прошли. Верьте в себя . У вас обязательно всё получится.

Вчера в разговорном клубе с американцами говорили о стереотипах об Америке 🇺🇸 Интересно слушать мнения людей разных возрастов, с разным опытом и из разных частей страны — и параллельно анализировать собственное представление об Америке. Оказывается, всё далеко не так просто, как кажется со стороны. Многие привычные нам стереотипы либо сильно преувеличены, либо вообще не соответствуют реальности. Кстати, недавно я так же удивилась, когда увидела статистику по потреблению алкоголя. Один из самых распространённых стереотипов о России — «в России очень много пьют». А по последним данным Россия даже не входит в топ-10 стран по потреблению алкоголя на человека. Для меня это было неожиданно 😅 В общем, очередное напоминание: стереотипы — это интересно, но реальность почти всегда сложнее. А какой стереотип о вашей стране больше всего раздражает или кажется вам смешным? 😄

I’m back 👋 I haven’t posted here since July 18 — almost a month! But I haven’t disappeared from Russian teaching 😄 Quite the opposite. A few updates from me: 🇬🇪 I’m in Georgia now! A new country and quite a few changes in life — but Russian lessons continue as usual. 📚 I’m working on several big things at the moment. I’m creating two new online courses: — Russian Alphabet & Pronunciation — Russian from Zero to A1 Creating a course from scratch takes MUCH more time than it looks 😅 I want them to be structured, clear and practical — so that you don’t just memorize things, but actually understand how Russian works. I’m also updating and improving my Russian Verbs of Motion course. If you’ve ever been confused by: идти vs ходить шёл vs ходил ехать vs ездить ехал vs ездил Буду идти va буду ходить And also нести- носить / везти- возить / вести- водить …you know why this topic deserves a whole course 😄 The goal is to finally understand the system instead of trying to memorize hundreds of separate examples. 🗣 New groups are coming in September! I’m planning to open new small groups for different levels. My groups are always small, so everyone gets enough time to speak, ask questions and actually practice Russian. My approach is simple: grammar + speaking + lots of real practice. No unnecessary theory. We understand the system and immediately start using it in speech. I also have space for a couple of new students for individual lessons. What do our lessons look like? One of the things my students often mention is the atmosphere. I believe language learning should be challenging, but it shouldn't feel stressful💜 In my classes, students ask questions, make mistakes, practice speaking, and gradually become more confident. Small groups make a huge difference because everyone has time to participate.

What happens when you move from A2 to B1 in Russian? Many students think B1 is just "more grammar" or "more vocabulary." But actually, B1 is the level where Russian starts becoming a real communication tool. You can: ✅express your thoughts more easily; ✅participate in longer conversations; ✅understand more authentic Russian; ✅feel more confident speaking. In other words, you stop focusing on every word and start focusing more on communication. Do you already have A2 level? What is the most difficult thing for you right now in Russian?

Yesterday, I attended a t.A.T.u. concert, and for me it felt like a journey back in time. When the group was at the height of its popularity in the early 2000s, I never had the chance to see them perform live. Their songs were everywhere, their music videos were constantly on TV, and t.A.T.u. became one of the most recognizable Russian music acts in the world. That is why yesterday's concert felt so special. About 15 years after the group's breakup, I finally got to hear live the songs that I had only known through recordings and television for so many years. For those who are learning Russian and are interested in Russian culture, t.A.T.u. is an important phenomenon. They were one of the few Russian groups to achieve truly global success. They topped charts, performed internationally, and introduced many people around the world to Russian pop music. The group became famous not only for its music but also for its provocative image and its willingness to challenge social norms of the time. In the early 2000s, they sparked huge discussions both in Russia and abroad, becoming much more than just a pop act. Watching them perform again after all these years was a reminder not only of how influential they once were, but also of how much the world has changed since then. For me, this concert was more than just a musical event. It felt like finally experiencing a moment that I had missed when it first happened 💜
