46-year-old female patient admitted post road traffic accident to the orthopedic department for internal fixation of pelvic fracture. She developed a sudden breathlessness, palpitation over the last few hours. On examination blood pressure was 80/60, oxygen saturation 80%, chest examination normal, cardiovascular examination tachycardia, she is tachypnic and her electrocardiogram showed right axis deviation and a heart rate of 120/minute.
What is the appropriate immediate management?
