Some think that fathers should have time off from work after the birth of a child. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people support the idea that after being a father, male couples should get day-offs from their workplace. I completely agree with this viewpoint because it makes parents responsible and the family bonds strong. Admittedly, right after childbirth, women get physically and mentally inferior, and they expect emotional support from their husbands. In this sense, sharing parental responsibility could be a possible solution, and it is anticipated that a month’s holiday from their day-to-day work could assist mothers to recover their fragile health condition. Even in most countries, the government compensates both nuclear and extended families financially, simply because they are keen to make fathers part of the childcare process. In European countries, where the birth rate is relatively low, some governmental organizations are willing to allocate money for new families, not to mention free child care services. This, consequently, encourages happy couples to be together with their newborn baby in their joyful moments, even if they are on a temporary holiday. Thanks to these short-term privileges, the intimacy between couples gets closer. True, in this hectic world, people are obsessed with earning money, yet they are neglecting the importance of family relationships. The newly born child could be the excuse to break this momentum; in this process, not only do parents take care of their baby, but they also uncover personal insights about each other. Psychologically, it is challenging to identify the hidden emotions of couples in the initial phases of their marriage. The experience of caring for their baby could make them sympathetic, compassionate, and morally strong. To conclude, I subscribe to the idea that female partners should not be solely responsible for looking after the baby due to their weak medical condition. With the help of state monetary aid, the bond between couples gets even stronger.
