Regret is a waste of time, learn from the things you regret and make sure you don’t make the same erroneous decisions again.
Making mistakes is part of the evolutionary process, it teaches us what works and what doesn’t, what gets us places and what gets us nowhere. So don’t dwell on past mistakes, instead make sure you do things differently.
When you find yourself in an undesirable situation, look back to identify the steps you took that got you there and make a mental note not to repeat those same steps again, try something different going forward.
We all learn by trial and error, so don’t be discouraged by your mistakes, what is sad is making the same mistakes over and over, if you are, you are simply not paying attention.
Take some time to reflect to find out why you are stuck in a loop. Some people like to be victims and complain about their misfortune unwilling to recognise their own patterns of behaviour are to blame, others are never willing to recognise they made a mistake, others don’t know any different and prefer to be stuck in a bad known situation than venture into the unknown.
Whatever your case is, without facing it you will never change it. All situations can be improved but they require an introspective journey into how you got there in the first place.
Have the courage to face your failures and turn them into the foundations of your success.
