🚨⚽️ | NEW: Raúl Asencio has been fully acquitted in his trial over the alleged sharing of intimate footage involving a minor after the Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office withdrew all charges against him. ◽️ It was confirmed in July that Asencio would stand trial over the alleged incident, despite both victims withdrawing their complaints against him ◽️ He was tried alongside three of his former Madrid youth team teammates, who were found guilty of recording and distributing videos of sexual content of a minor, aged under 16, and the same offences against an 18-year-old woman ◽️ As with Asencio, both victims had withdrawn their complaints against each of them, but the trial judge determined they were guilty based on the prosecutor’s submissions to the court ➡️ Asencio was never accused of having been involved in the incident or the filming of it, but it was alleged that he asked for the videos and showed them to another friend

Let it go, let it go, let it go. I used to do another thing in the Premier League. I used to stand in the centre circle and see how long I could stay in the centre circle before I had to leave. That was just me joking about. The lads used to be on the line saying ‘you can’t’. I said ‘I’ll try it’. I just used to run around but don’t come out of it. Got about 15 minutes once in one game, without leaving the centre circle.”
