Worshiping Allah Beyond Ramadan Many of us push ourselves in Ramadan—praying more, reciting more Quran, guarding our tongues, and striving to be better. But once Ramadan ends, how many of us hold on to that devotion? Do we only obey Allah when the month demands it, or do we truly live for His pleasure? The Lord of Ramadan is the Lord of all months. He commands us: "And worship your Lord until certainty (death) comes to you." (Qur’an 15:99) True faith is proven outside of Ramadan—when no one is watching, when there’s no communal spirit pushing us, when it’s just us and our sincerity before Allah. If we can fast for 30 days, we can continue praying on time. If we can guard our tongues for a month, we can do it for a lifetime. If we can avoid sin in Ramadan, we can strive to avoid it always. Let Ramadan be a training ground, not a temporary phase. The best deeds are those that are consistent, even if small. Keep praying, keep remembering Allah, and keep striving. Because true success isn’t just making it through Ramadan—it’s in living a life that earns Allah’s pleasure.

Imām ash-Shafiee said You will never be able to please everyone, rather rectify what is between you and Allah and do not care about the people. Tawāli at-Ta'nees, ibn Hajr, 168

There was once a man who slaughtered infants, a tyrant who dared to call himself a god. He stole the breath of the innocent, but in the end, his fate was sealed— as all tyrants fall, so too did he. 📖 Surah Al-Qasas (28:38-39) وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرِى فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ فَٱجْعَل لِّى صَرْحًۭا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ۝٣٨ وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ ۝٣٩ "And Pharaoh said, ‘O chiefs! I do not know of any god for you other than me. So, O Haman, kindle a fire for me over the clay and build me a lofty tower that I may look at the God of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar.’ And he and his soldiers behaved arrogantly in the land without right and thought that they would not be returned to Us."

What they are doing in Gaza today, they have already done in Baghuz before, and even earlier… The Crusades, The Spanish Reconquista, The French and Italian Colonial Wars in North Africa, The Bosnian Genocide, The Central African Republic Crisis. Do not be shocked by the extent of their brutality—it is in their nature, when they have the upper hand, to show no mercy at all. Surah Al-Anfal (8:36-37) إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ ۝ لِيَمِيزَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُۥ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُۥ جَمِيعًۭا فَيَجْعَلَهُۥ فِى جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُو۟لَٰئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ "Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert people from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a source of regret; then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell. So that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good, and place the wicked some of them upon others and pile them all together, and put them into Hell. It is they who are the losers."

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Then the bridge will be placed over Hell, and intercession will be allowed. The people will say: ‘O Allah, grant us safety! Grant us safety!’" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7439, Sahih Muslim 183)
