SCAM ALERT⚠️... A few days ago, I received a Facebook message from someone in need of a logo. Intrigued, I engaged, and they referred me to @lindajoe09 on Telegram. Linda claimed to require 10 logos, with payment after the first. As I completed the project, she praised my work but insisted on a local bank transfer due to alleged payment restrictions. After sending my details, she shared a fake payment screenshot and insisted on a VAT number and rhen referred me to Ben, who was her claimed former customer from Nigeria to guide me through. Ben referred me to a woman that he said could get me one. The woman asked for my details and told me that it'll cost me some money. Falling for it, I paid 6000 naira for a supposed temporary VAT number and sent the number to Linda. As I awaited payment, Linda vanished, leaving me scammed. This cautionary tale serves as a warning to fellow graphic designers—beware of scammers like Linda. Stay vigilant and prioritize your safety. Have you ever been scammed by a client before?
