🌺 Ś𝐢𝐯ā𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐕e𝐝ā𝐧𝐭𝐚 🌺

त्रिशिखी ब्राह्मण आदित्यलोकं जगाम । तं गत्वोवाच । भगवन् ! किं देहः किं प्राणः किं कारणं किमात्मा ।।1।। स होवाच सर्वमिदं शिव एव विजानीहि । किन्तु नित्यः शुद्धो निरञ्जनो विभुरद्वयानन्दः शिव एकः स्वेन भासेदं सर्वं दृष्ट्वा तप्तायः पिण्डवदेकं भिन्नवदवभासते। The Brahmin Trishikhi went to the realm of Aditya. Upon reaching there, he asked, "O Lord! What is the body? What is Prāṇa? What is the cause of this entire Jagata? And What is Aatma ?" Then Aditya said, "O Brahmin! Understand that everything is Śiva. However that one eternal, pure, spotless, all-pervading, non-dual blissful Śiva alone illuminates all by himself , like a red iron ball heated by fire, manifests himself in many forms while remaining one. ~Triśikhibrāhmaṇōpaniṣat

जगतः पितरं शम्भुञ्जगतो मातरं शिवाम् । jagataḥ pitaraṃ śambhuñjagato mātaraṃ śivām | ~ Śiva-Māhapurāṇa, 2.1.1.4 Lord Shiva is the father of the universe, and Mata Parvati(Śivā) is the mother of the universe.

श्रीरुद्र रुद्र रुद्रेति यस्तं ब्रूयाद्विचक्षणः ॥ कीर्तनात्सर्वदेवस्य सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते । śrīrudra rudra rudreti yastaṃ brūyādvicakṣaṇaḥ I kīrtanātsarvadevasya sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate ।

~ Rudrahṛdayopaniṣat , 17

'श्रीरुद्र रुद्र रुद्र' इस प्रकार से जो बुद्धिमान् जपता है, इससे समस्त देवोंका कीर्तन हो जानेके कारण - वह सर्व पार्पोसे मुक्त हो जाता है ।। This wise man who chants "Shri Rudra Rudra Rudra" he becomes free from all sins, because by chanting Rudra's name all other gods get chanted. 🌼 Even Brahmā and Viṣņu can't understand Śiva's Māyā 🌼 धन्या धन्या महामाया शांभवी मुनिसत्तमाः । तद्गतिं न हि पश्यंति विष्णुब्रह्मादयोपि हि ॥ dhanyā dhanyā mahāmāyā śāṃbhavī munisattamāḥ | tadgatiṃ na hi paśyaṃti viṣṇubrahmādayopi hi ||

विद्यासु श्रुतिरुत्कृष्टा रुद्रैकादशिनी श्रुतौ। तत्र पञ्चाक्षरस्तत्र शिव इत्यक्षरदूयम् ।। तस्मादधिकृतां वेदे तत्राऽनधिकृतामपि । मदीयमूलमन्त्रेण पूजनं सर्वतो वरम् ।। ~ Kāraṇāgama, 8th Patala, 4-5 Mahadeva said to Mahadevi : Shrutis/Vedas are the best and excellent among all Vidyas (sources of knowledge); In Shrutis also Sri Rudram hymn is the Supreme, in Sri Rudram also Panchakshara is Supreme and in the Panchakshara also the two letters 'Shiva' is Supreme. 🍁 𝔻𝕙𝕪ā𝕟𝕒𝕞 𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞 𝕠𝕗 𝕃𝕠𝕣𝕕 Ś𝕚𝕧𝕒 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 🍁 कुंदेंदुधवलाकारं नागाभरणभूषितम् । वरदाभयहस्तं च बिभ्राणं परशुं मृगम् ॥ सूर्यकोटिप्रतीकाशं जगदानंदकारणम् । जाह्नवीजलसंपर्काद्दीर्घपिंगजटाधरम् ॥ उरगेंद्रफणोद्भूतमहामुकुटमंडितम् । शीतांशुखंडविलसत्कोटीरांगदभूषणम् ॥ उन्मीलद्भालनयनं तथा सूर्येंदुलोचनम् । नीलकंठं चतुर्बाहुं गजेंद्राजिनवाससम् ॥ रत्नसिंहासनारूढं नागाभरणभूषितम् । ~ Skaṇda Māhapurāṇa, 3.3.18.40-44a The Lord is as white as a jasmine flower and the moon. He is adorned with ornaments constituted of serpents. He poses his fingers in the gestures of granting boons and freedom from fear and holds in his hands axe and deer. He resembles ten million suns (in lustre). He is the cause of delight to the whole universe. He wears long and tawny-coloured matted hair due to coming into contact with the waters of Gaṅgā. He is embellished with a crown studded with jewels coming from the hoods of great serpents. His crown of matted hair shines with the crescent moon. He has arm-lets and other ornaments. His eye in the forehead is open. He has the sun and the moon as his other eyes. He is blue-necked and has four arms. He is clad in the hide of a lordly elephant. Meaning - The goddess had divine garments and the lustre of ten thousand rising suns. She has the guise of a young girl with small and tender limbs. She has the crescent moon as her crest jewel. She has four hands holding a noose and a goad and showing gestures of conferring boons and freedom from fear (with the other two hands). Aṃbā is pleasant-faced, sportive in spirit. She decorates herself with the blossoms of Kurabaka, Aśoka, Punnāga and fresh Caṃpaka. Fully blown jasmine flowers adorn her forelocks. Her big hips are adorned with a girdle of many strings. Her pair of feet is embellished with anklets having many tinkling bells. Her shining gemset ear-rings brighten her cheeks and surrounding areas. Her bud-like teeth shed lustrous rays upon her red lips. She is adorned with necklaces and garlands set with costly jewels. Her bangles, armlets and rings shine remarkably with rubies. She is clad in red garments. Her garlands and unguents are red. Her protruding plump breasts surpass lotus buds. Her side-glances are playfully glamorous. She is ever ready to bless her devotees. ~ Skand Māhapurana, 3.3.18.44b-51

🍁 𝔻𝕙𝕪ā𝕟𝕒𝕞 𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝔾𝕠𝕕𝕕𝕖𝕤𝕤(ℙ𝕒𝕣𝕧𝕒𝕥𝕚) 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 देवीं च दिव्यवसनां बालसूर्यायुतद्युतिम् ॥ बालवेषां च तन्वंगीं बालशीतांशुशेखराम् । पाशांकुशवराभीतिं बिभ्रतीं च चतुर्भुजाम् ॥ प्रसादसुमुखीमंबां लीलारसविहारिणीम् । लसत्कुरबकाशोकपुन्नागनवचंपकैः ॥ कृतावतंसामुत्फुल्लमल्लिकोत्कलितालकाम् । कांचीकलापपर्यस्तजघनाभोगशालिनीम् ॥ उदारकिंकिणीश्रेणीनूपुराढ्यपदद्वयाम् । गंडमंडलसंसक्तरत्नकुंडलशोभिताम् ॥ बिंबाधरानुरक्तांशुलसद्दशन कुड्मलाम् । महार्हरत्नग्रेवेयतारहारविराजिताम् ॥ नवमाणिक्यरुचिरकंकणांगदमुद्रिकाम् । रक्तांशुकपरीधानां रत्नमाल्यानुलेपनाम् ॥ उद्यत्पीनकुचद्वंद्वनिंदितांभोजकुड्मलाम् । लीलालोलासितापांगीं भक्तानुग्रहदायिनीम् ॥

तस्मात्सर्वं शिवमयं ज्ञातव्यं सुविशेषतः । वेदैः पुराणैः शास्त्रैश्च तथौपनिपदैरपि ॥ आगमैर्विविधैः शंभुर्ज्ञातव्यो नात्र संशयः । निष्कामैश्च सकामैश्च पूजनीयः सदा शिवः ॥ ~ Skanda-Māhapurāṇa, 1.1.5.109-110 Hence it should be especially understood that everything is identical with Śiva. Śaṃbhu should be known by means of Vedas, Purāṇas, sacred treatises, Upaniṣads and different kinds of Āgamas . 🍁 Vīra Māheśvara 🍁 किं तु वै बहुनोक्तेन श्वि इत्यक्षरद्वयम् । उच्चारयंति स नित्यं ते रुद्रा नात्र संशयः ॥ सतां मार्गं पुरस्कृत्य ये सर्वे ते पुरांतकाः । वीरा माहेश्वराज्ञेयाः पापक्षयकरा नृणाम् ॥ ~ Skanda Mahāpurāņam, 1.1.7.46-47 Of what avail is much talk? Those who utter the two syllables Śi-va everyday are Rudras themselves. There is no doubt in this matter. Those who follow the path of good people are all Purāntakas (Śiva). ततो रुद्रं बभापे स वरं सम्प्रार्थयाम्यहम् । अहं दासोस्मि ते रुद्र त्वं मे स्वामी न संशयः ॥ एतद्बुद्धात्मनो भक्तिं देहि जन्मनिजन्मनि । त्वं माता च पिता त्वं च त्वं बंधुश्च सखा हि मे ॥ त्वं गुहुस्त्वं महामंत्रो मंत्रवेद्योऽसि सर्वदा । तस्मात्त्वदपरं नान्यत्त्रिषु लोकेषु किंचन ॥ ~ Skanda-Māhapurāṇa, 1.1.5.165-167 I request for the boon. O Rudra, there is no doubt about (the fact) that I am your slave. You are my lord and master. Realizing this, grant me devotion unto you in every birth. You are my mother. You are my father too. You are my kinsman and friend. You are the preceptor. You are the great Mantra. You are always worthy of being known through the Mantras. Hence in the three worlds there is nothing else than you. 🌼 None can overcome the power of Māyā of Lord Śiva 🌼 15. O sage, his Māyā is divine and great pervading everything. The entire universe is subservient to it, inclusive of the gods, Asuras and human beings. 16. All heroic beings, even Viṣṇu and mighty people, have been overwhelmed by the mighty Kāma, born of the mind who has no other helper. 17. O great sage, Viṣṇu was deluded by Kāma by the power of Śiva’s Māyā. He outraged the modesty of other men’s wives many times. 18. Indra, the lord of the gods, became fascinated by Gautama’s wife. That vicious one committed sin and so was cursed by the sage. 19. Even the firegod, the most excellent in the universe was deluded by Śiva’s Māyā. Due to his pride he became subservient to lust and was ultimately saved by Śiva. 20. The wind-god, the vital air of the universe was deluded by Śiva’s Māyā due to his arrogance. Overwhelmed by Kāma, Vyāsa too, had sexual intercourse with other men’s wives. 21. The sun of fierce rays, deluded by Śiva’s Māyā became lustful on seeing a mare and assumed the form of a horse. 22. The moon deluded by Śiva’s Māyā became lustful and abducted the wife of Bṛhaspati and had his sexual union with her. But he was finally saved by Bṛhaspati himself. 23. Formerly the two gods Mitra and Varuṇa, while performing a severe penance, were fascinated and deluded by Śīva’s Māyā. 24. On seeing the youthful maiden Ūrvaśī, both of them had the emission of their semen. Mitra deposited his semen in a pot and Varuṇa in water. 25. Vasiṣṭha was born out of the pot and is called Mitra’s son. Agastya born of Varuṇa has the lustre of the submarine fire. 26. Dakṣa, son of Brahmā deluded by Śiva’s Māyā, had a desire for sexual intercourse with his sister along with his other brothers. 27. Many times, Brahmā, deluded by Śiva’s Māyā, had the desire for sexual union with his own daughter and other women. 28. Gyavana the great Yogin. deluded by Śiva’s Māyā, became lustful and had sexual dalliance with Sukanyā. 29. Kaśyapa became passionate on being deluded by Śiva’s Māyā. Formerly, out of delusion, he requested king Dhanvan to give his daughter to him. 30. The deluded Garuḍa while abducting the virgin Śāṇḍilī was found out by her and got his wings burnt. 31. The sage Vibhāṇḍaka became lustful on seeing a woman. At the behest of Śiva, Ṛṣyaśṛṅga[1] was his son born of a hind. 32-33. The sage Gautama had his mind deluded by Śiva’s Māyā. On seeing Śāradvatī in the nude he was excited and he indulged in sexual intercourse with her. He collected the semen emitted in a wooden bowl. Droṇa the foremost among marksmen was born of that bowl. 34. The great yogin Parāśara, deluded by Śiva’s Māyā, indulged in sexual intercourse with Matsyodarī the virgin daughter of a fisherman. 35. O Vyāsa, Viśvāmitra became deluded by śiva’s Māyā and lustfully indulged in sexual dalliance with Menakā. 36. Becoming confounded in thought he rivalled with Vasiṣṭha. But thanks to Śiva’s grace he became a brahmin. 37. Rāvaṇa, the son of Viśravas, became lustful due to Śiva’s Māyā. The wicked-minded one abducted Sītā, became deluded and courted death. 38. The excellent sage Bṛhaspati deluded by Śiva’s Māyā had sexual intercourse with his brother’s wife and Bharadvāja was born. 39. O Vyāsa, thus the power of the Māyā of Śiva, the great soul has been narrated to you. ब्रह्मेन्द्रोपेन्द्रचन्द्राणां देवदानवभोगिनाम् । गंधर्वाणां मनुष्याणामन्येषां वापि सर्वशः ॥ बंधुर्मित्रमथाचार्य्यो रक्षन्नेताऽर्थवान्गुरुः । कल्पद्रुमोऽथ वा भ्राता पिता माता शिवो मतः ॥ शिवस्सर्वमयः पुंसां स्वयं वेद्यः परात्परः । वक्तुं न शक्यते यश्च परं चानु परं च यत् ॥ तन्माया परमा दिव्या सर्वत्र व्यापिनी मुने । तदधीनं जगत्सर्वं सदेवासुरमानुषम् ॥ ~ Śiva Māhāpuraṇa, Umā-Saṃhitā, 4.12-15 Śiva is the kinsman, friend, guide, protector, leader, purposeful preceptor, wish-yielding Kalpa tree, brother, father or mother of Brahmā, Indra, Viṣṇu, moon, the Gods, Dānavas, Serpents, Gandharvas, Human beings and all others. Śiva is identical with all; self-manifest to all men, greater than the greatest. Than him it is impossible to predicate anyother greater thing. इति ज्ञानं सदा ज्ञेयं सर्वं शिवमयं जगत् । शिवः सर्वमयो ज्ञेयस्सर्वज्ञेन विपश्चिता ॥ iti jñānaṃ sadā jñeyaṃ sarvaṃ śivamayaṃ jagat | śivaḥ sarvamayo jñeyassarvajñena vipaścitā || ~ Śiva Māhāpuraṇa, Koṭirudra-Saṃhitā, 43.3 It shall be known that the entire universe is wholly Śiva. 🌼 Glorification of Lord Śiva by Śri Hari Viṣṇu 🌼 14. Brahmā was warded off by Viṣṇu, saying, “Dispute is not proper for you. Neither you nor I was there, when this universe with the movable and immovable objects, was not there. 15. Lord Maheśvara alone lay in the water. When the God was awake willingly, he through curiosity first created you and then me. 16. Due to his favour the universe was held (by me) in the form of tortoise. 17. Entry was made into the universe due to Śaṅkara’s favour also. The entire creation was fashioned by you and its protection was entrusted to me. 18.
