Hi everyone. CAE Part 1 Question - Do you prefer reading physical books or reading e-books on an e-reader or tablet, for example? Check out this video to learn some useful vocabulary in context and get ideas for talking about a task like this. https://youtu.be/r57GS_pRy-Y Here's the transcript: Idea 1 - Well, to be honest, I prefer e-readers. They are better for reading on the go[1]. I can simply slip[2] it into my bag and always have something to occupy my time[2] with whenever I'm stuck waiting for something to happen.  Idea 2 - Well, I detest[3] e-readers and the like, so I tend to read physical books. It's almost comforting or nostalgic[4]... you can't replicate that feeling with a device.  Idea 3 - I'm definitely a fan of old-school books. For starters, you can annotate[5] them or dog-ear[6] the pages... you can't really do that with an e-reader. I like to make notes for studying later and I find it more challenging to do digitally. Idea 4 - While I prefer the tactile[7] experience of reading real books, I find myself using my tablet more. I think it's due to the vast array of[8] books available online... You can find anything.  Idea 5 - I'm somewhat torn between the two[9]... On one hand, I can take my e-reader anywhere, but on the other hand, I enjoy reading physical books before going to bed... it enhances the quality of my sleep[10] when I do it.  Here are the vocabulary notes: [1] to slip something into something else - to put it in easily and quickly [2] to occupy your time - to keep yourself busy  [3] to detest something - to strongly dislike or hate something [4] nostalgic - a feeling of happiness or being sentimental while remembering past events or experiences [5] to annotate something - to add notes or comments to a text [6] to dog-ear pages - to fold over the corner of a book's pages so you can remember your place [7] tactile - related to touch [8] a vast array of something - a very large selection  [9] to be town between two things - to be unable to decide [10] to enhance the quality of your sleep (a collocation) How would you respond to this question? Take a few second to think, and then talk about this for about 10 to 15 seconds.
