FIIs - July Fortnight Data
Foreign investors turned selective in the July 15 fortnight, pulling out βΉ1,446 crore after a sharp βΉ19,991 crore inflow earlier. Major outflows came from IT, FMCG, and Auto Components, pointing to profit booking in high-beta and defensive names.
At the same time, inflows picked up in services, metals, mining, and consumer services, indicating a shift toward domestic cyclicals. Capital Goods and Oil & Gas also continued to see steady buying. Overall, FIIs are not exiting but repositioning into growth-oriented sectors.
