Your character is a major determinant of your destiny. What you become in life is a product of your character. Your character either assists or resists your destiny. Your character can either make or mar your destiny. Now, how does character determines destiny? Character establishes trust, and trust facilitates opportunity for destiny fulfilment. People would trust you if you have good character. They would trust you if money is safe in your hand. If you don’t have a bad name or reputation, people would easily trust you. And when people trust you, opportunities become effortless. Having trust with people facilitates several opportunities that will assist your destiny fulfilment. Concerning Joseph, Genesis 39:1 says, _And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelite’s, which had brought him down thither._ Joseph was bought as a slave, but Potiphar, his master put everything under his care because of his good character. Even though Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him, he refused to yield to that temptation. He left his cloth with her and ran out. When Potiphar returned, she lied against Joseph to her husband that Joseph wanted to sleep with her, and presented Joseph’s cloth to him as evidence. You see, the evidence was true but the story was false. And as a result of that, Joseph could not defend himself, and so Potiphar had him thrown into the prison. Even though Joseph was in the prison, he upheld his godly character. And by the power of that godly character, he excelled even in the prison until he got his freedom and became the prime minister of the whole of Egypt. You see, Joseph’s destiny would have been cut short if he had yielded to the temptation of Potiphar’s wife. This story aptly demonstrates the power and influence of character on destiny fulfilment. My counsel is: by all means, make up your mind to uphold godly character. _REMEMBER THIS: Character establishes trust, and trust facilitates opportunity for destiny fulfillment._ ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Ask God for the grace to live right. 2. Make up your mind to maintain godly character. PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me character as the pathway to fulfilling destiny. SCRIPTURE: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: GALATIANS 3:13. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every spell of delay that is following you and fighting your destiny from your father’s house is broken. It has been established that a negative foundation can affect one’s destiny negatively. For example, Abraham’s foundation affected his life and destiny negatively before God intervened. Terah was Abraham’s father. In Hebrew, Terah means delay; and that delay flowed into Abraham’s life. Abraham was delayed in the area of getting the fruit of the womb. You see, Terah, passed on the demon of delay into the life of Abraham, his son. Abraham’s wife, Sarah, was barren. Genesis 11:30 says, But Sarai was barren; she had no child. Abraham didn’t give birth to children on time. The wife of Isaac, Abraham’s son, was also barren. Genesis 25:21 says, And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Even though Rebecca, Isaac’s wife later conceived, she also suffered delay in having children because of the foundation of delay at work in Isaac’s family. To take it further, Jacob’s wives, Rachael and Leah, were also barren. That made Jacob to also suffer delay in having children. Genesis 29:31 says, And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. The wombs of both Rachael and Leah were closed because there was a spell of delay working against their lives from the lineage of their husband. There seemed to be an embargo on their lives with the statement: “You can achieve things in life but not on time. You can give birth to children but not on time.” Beloved, I decree today that every spell of delay that is following you, and fighting your destiny from your father’s house is broken in Jesus Name. The delay is over! The foundations of your father’s house can no longer succeed against your destiny. Receive speed in every area of your life NOW, in Jesus’ Name!
