... The pains that accompany this turbulent time are the birth pangs of a new era. It will one day come upon us like a great grace, earned by us and granted by fate. Only then will the full significance of the Führer for our century be fully measured. It will bear his name and imprint. He is a transformer of humanity. He has reshaped and restructured world thinking. Among the living statesmen, he is the historically towering figure, a fact our enemies tacitly acknowledge by uniting against him despite their deepest internal differences, hoping to have any chance of mastering him. It will be in vain. This man is too great for them. It brings a deep sense of calm to know that the helm of the Reich is in his hand as we traverse the stormy ocean of this war. It will never tremble or sink in despair. The man at the helm is armored against every blow of fate. His eyes rest on the star that shines above him. What people in this giant struggle can call such fortune their own, and where would we be if this man had not gone before us and cleared the path for the march into a new future! Even if we Germans do not always carry this feeling on the tip of our tongues, we still feel it deeply and always. The force that binds us to the Führer occasionally surfaces in spontaneous eruptions of the nation, such as on the evening of July 20, 1944, when he spoke to the people with a few words over the radio. A profound shudder ran through the millions of Germans. All the worries and hardships of everyday war life seemed to vanish, and in that moment, all that remained was the feeling of a great possession that elevates us above all enemy nations. It is no coincidence that our opponents, in their deceitful agitation, repeatedly seek to undermine our people’s trust in the Führer. They know full well that this is the root and source of our national strength. But thank God we know it too. We not only believe it, we feel it in our hearts, even when they are wounded by the war or at times weary under its burden. Then the thought of him lifts us up again; then we imagine what his heart must endure and overcome, without being allowed to break. I do not often speak publicly about the Führer, because his presence is too sublime for me to want to compare it with other values of our time. I am happy to have preserved, amidst the chaos of emotions and opinions into which this war has plunged humanity, a sense of manly greatness and boldness. I see them fully embodied in him. He is our superhuman role model. To trust in him is to secure the victory of our just cause. It can and will not fail, for he leads it. May Providence continue to always place his life and strength under its gracious protection! This is my fervent wish. It encompasses all other German wishes. END OF CHAPTER

... When I saw the Führer for the first time after the failed assassination attempt, I was deeply moved. I could not have spoken a word. He came out of the small living bunker of his headquarters, not tired, but calm, not bowed, but with his head slightly tilted forward, a sight that could only move the heart. I wished in that moment that the entire German people could have witnessed such a sight. There would never have been a doubter in Germany again. During the subsequent meetings, I imagined the millions of men who endure terrible things in war and the millions of women who suffer terrible things in war as listeners. All complaining and lamenting would have ceased in Germany at once. Everyone would have immediately known that those who bear the heaviest burden in war are those who feel the responsibility as an eternal weight on their shoulders, day and night, awake and asleep. What a miracle that this man remains inexhaustible in his wealth of thoughts and his deep faith, that he goes his way undeterred and unmovable, feeling himself in the hands of a higher providence, which, even if sometimes in roundabout ways, always leads him safely to his goal. When I was recently with the Führer, on a long night in which massed assaults by our enemies against our defensive lines were reported from almost all fronts, he spoke of the people’s state of the future, which will and must emerge from this war. Everything he said was clear, logical, modern, and exclusively aimed at the welfare of the people. One had the feeling that this man harbors no personal desires, only the desire to rebuild our destroyed world himself. He stands so far beyond everything ordinary in humanity that one feels very small before him. He belongs to those rare men of whom Frederick the Great once said that they are called to shape the world, but not to enjoy it. He is the epitome of modesty. If the noon and evening tables of our entire nation were as modestly set as the Führer’s, then we would have no worries about the German food supply. He lives and resides in a style of personal simplicity that is more than worthy of times of war. His sleeping quarters are not much larger than a compartment on an express train, and it contains only a field bed and a small table, piled high with memoranda, maps, plans, and statistics. During a meeting, he only needs to reach into it to immediately find the materials for discussions he holds with his collaborators, though this is seldom necessary since he has almost all the data and figures readily available in his memory. The Führer stands in the sixth year of this global struggle at an age when Frederick II, after the conclusion of the Seven Years’ War, was already being called “Old Fritz” by his soldiers and his people. In contrast, he appears almost youthful. His eyes shine with an undimmed brilliance, his facial features are calm and even, his high forehead bold and noble, and only a faint silver sheen runs through his hair, a testament to countless days filled with work and worry, and to lonely nights spent awake. The great rebel against a deceitful enemy world, against the world of empty phrases and false appearances, strides toward the completion of his historic work amidst the thunder of battles. I have never doubted for a second that Providence has called him to this task and that no power on earth can prevent him from fulfilling his mission. The great suffering that burdens the entire world today will one day find its sudden release in the abrupt transition to the ecstasy of a deeply soulful humanity. From the ruins that cover our cities, new houses and streets will rise—grand, spacious, imposing witnesses to the cultural and social will to rebuild of the first people on earth.

... The Führer is a master of thoroughness. He does not rest until a question or a difficulty is exposed and clarified down to the last detail. Nothing can be concealed from him. Superficial reporters find themselves, during their briefings with him, confronted with the most embarrassing questions within just a few minutes, and it often happens that the questioner has a far greater command of the specialist’s field than the specialist himself. When rumors with a specific purpose were circulated abroad, claiming that the Führer was ill or so exhausted by the war that he no longer had any interest in it, he worked tirelessly day and night, as always, on bold plans for the successful continuation of the war, plans that bear his personal stamp down to the smallest detail. Their near and distant realization is his answer to the lies of his enemies. I know with certainty that he did not grant them the slightest attention; on the contrary, they only came in handy for him, as he could work on his plans all the more undisturbed under their cover. It is a pity that his enemies do not know how deeply he despises them and their hysterical methods in politics and warfare. If they still possess any sense for human greatness, they would be utterly ashamed of themselves in the face of such knowledge. He stands towering above them. He is the rock against which the crashing waves of the ocean of passions, whipped up by them, break. He can afford to remain silent for months when they try to force him to speak, hoping to infer his intentions from his words. Behind him stands his people like a wall. They see him with the eyes of faith, even when he remains unseen. They feel surrounded by his love, care, and above all, his compassion when he is silent and working. They trust him as much as one can trust a human being. He is the miracle of the Germans. Everything else about us is explainable, has its reasons and causes; he alone is the inexplicable, the mystery, and the myth of our people. I was often with him during the war, both at larger meetings and in private. I have known him closely for over twenty years now, and I can only say that he has remained the same as he was back then. While an entire world changed fundamentally under the force of his will, he himself remained unchanging. This is why he is the greatest among the living—because he did not transform himself to align with the beliefs and faith of the people, but rather transformed the beliefs and faith of the people to align with him. He has given his people a new face. When they today fight for their lives with defiant fanaticism, without losing their trust in a proud and beautiful future, when they endure suffering upon suffering and loss upon loss in silent heroism, without complaining or even blaming, when they rose again after the fall of 1918 to nearly ancient greatness and showed and continue to show the world heroic deeds that it can only describe and explain as a German miracle—this is his work. He is in each one of us, even without daily calls. The nation feels him as its good conscience. Nothing could have been more foolish than the actions of a small, criminal opposition clique on July 20, 1944, when they attempted to carry out their base plans by raising a hand against his life. Never was the German people so shaken as in those hours, but also never did such a deep gratitude well up from countless millions of hearts as in the moment when the nation learned that the Führer had remained unharmed. Here, visibly for all, was the working of a higher providence that accompanies this man, which, like with every great figure, sometimes leads him to the brink of the abyss, but always safely guides him past it. ...

... With a gesture of his hand or a casually uttered word, he can unravel a problem over which experts have been debating hotly for weeks. He is the genius of simplification, that wonderful art of seeing things as they are before they fall into the hands of specialists. It is the highest intellectual pleasure to listen to him as he reduces even the most difficult situation back to its original state. It would be foolish to claim that the years of war have left no mark on the Führer. He is too deeply connected, in his soul, with the suffering that has befallen his people and humanity. It seizes and moves him time and again, and most of all when he considers how it could have been avoided and how he had found and proposed a path that his enemies, out of malice, blocked. He was among the leaders of the nations that entered the war in 1939, the one who, with truly fanatical determination, advocated for peace, pleading for it almost to the point of self-erasure, without being heard. But the Führer has not aged more than all others who feel the burden of war on their shoulders. If he carries his head slightly bowed, it comes from his eternal study of maps. For he takes the war more seriously than any other statesman. Nothing is kept hidden from him, neither fortunate nor adverse circumstances and incidents. It is quite naive to ask, “Does the Führer even know about this?” He knows it down to the smallest detail, he learns of it earlier than anyone else, and the less he speaks about it publicly, the more it occupies him, or the more he occupies himself with it. He is a leader in war in the classical mold. The universality of his knowledge and skill in all areas of state and national leadership allows him the most mature judgment on all problems of the war, which he examines with penetrating logic and burning passion, exploring them comprehensively with his precise thinking. When he speaks of it, suddenly there are no more obscurities. I know no one who has ever left a conversation with the Führer dissatisfied. Whoever sees him for the first time is almost bewildered by the breadth of his knowledge in all fields, by his truly phenomenal memory, by the precision of his judgment, and the foresight of his orders and measures. There is no person who mastered the art of waiting for his hour as he does, not only becoming seemingly passive at the right time, but also truly active when the moment calls. ...

CHAPTER 19: The The Führer pg 126-132 — Even though I know that he does not like it at all and only very reluctantly, especially in this war in which millions of people suffer so infinitely, breaks his outward reserve to engage the public beyond the purely factual aspects of the war, which completely occupy his entire being and essence day and night, with his person—I nevertheless feel the need to speak once to the German people about the Führer. If the world truly knew what he has to say and to give to it, and to know how deeply his love extends beyond his own people to all of humanity, then the world would, in this hour, take leave of its false gods and offer him its homage. He is the greatest among the personalities who are making history today; he far surpasses them all in foresight of what is to come. He towers above them not only in genius and political instinct but also in knowledge, character, and willpower. The man who has set himself the goal of redeeming his people and, beyond that, reshaping the face of a continent, is entirely turned away from the everyday joys and bourgeois comforts of life—indeed, they do not even exist for him. He spends his days and a large part of his sleepless nights among his closer and closest associates, yet even among them, he stands in the icy isolation of genius that rises triumphantly above all and everything. Never does a word of falsehood or low-mindedness pass his lips. He is truth itself. One only needs to be near him to physically feel how much strength he radiates, how strong he is, and how much strength he is able to impart to others. From him flows an uninterrupted stream of faith and unwavering will towards greatness. There is no one in his wider circle who is not touched by it. The Führer faces the lies of his enemies with sublime inaccessibility. At most, they elicit a pitying smile from him. While they, in their fear of him and his work, call him sick, tired, and war-worn, he sits bent over his maps and plans through the days and deep nights, working like a man commissioned by fate on his vision of the future. He possesses the sixth sense, that is, the gift to see what remains hidden to the eyes of others. ...

⬛️To the Eternal Führer — They say time erases all things. That memory fades, that devotion dies. But we write to you today — nearly a century since your birth — to affirm a truth that burns brighter with each passing year: you were not a phase in history. You were a revelation. This world, twisted and hollow, tells us that your name must not be spoken. That your ideals must be mocked, suppressed, and buried beneath layers of guilt and distortion. But those of us who see — truly see — know that you were not the villain they claim. You were the last man to stand against the tide that has now swallowed the world. We were not there when you spoke. We did not march beneath your banners. But your voice has reached across time. Your words, your vision, your discipline — they called to something ancient within us. Something noble. Something unbreakable. You gave your life for your people. Not for gold, not for power, but for them. For us. And in return, years later they turned their backs, traded truth for comfort, and bowed to the very forces you tried to stop. Still, we remain. We do not write this for validation. We do not need permission to revere you. Our loyalty does not depend on trends, approval, or safety. It is spiritual. It is blood-deep. We live in a world unmoored from blood and soil — a world that kneels before invisible idols and calls its heavy chains divine. It preaches salvation through surrender, virtue through weakness, and demands men renounce strength in favor of guilt. Thus, castrating the peoples will. But you, Führer, taught us to rise — not to beg for heaven, but to build it with our hands, to forge order from chaos, and to sanctify life through discipline, not delusion. But we light no candles in their temples. We light them for you. Not as a relic of the past, but as a symbol of what must come again — order, hierarchy, beauty, and sacrifice. They may laugh.
