🪅 Design Competition 2024
Telegram announced the results → of the competition to update the messenger design. Pavel Durov's team expressed their sincere thanks and admiration to each participant in the contest.
Now, let us shed some light on the judging process in this competition. The Telegram Design Team joined forces with the Telegram Contest Department, and each judge spent dozens of hours watching and sorting through all the submissions. Once the judges completed their solo evaluations and highlighted the most promising discoveries, the whole jury met to watch and discuss together all the submissions that were not instantly discarded.This time they decided to increase the prize fund by $24,000, bringing it to $54,000. Moreover, this is the first contest when the reward system involves payment in USD₮ on TON.

🚀 Virgin Galactic’s Unity Completes Final Flight
Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity → completed its 12th and final mission on June 8, reaching an altitude of 87.5 km. The Galactic 07 mission carried six passengers, including Turkish astronaut Tuva Atasever, former SpaceX engineer Andy Sadhwani, New York construction executive Irving Pergament, and London investor Giorgio Manenti.
Unity launched from Spaceport America in New Mexico, separated from its mothership Eve at 13.5 km, and continued to suborbital space. The mission lasted just over an hour and successfully returned to Spaceport America.
This flight marks Unity's seventh commercial mission and its retirement to make way for Virgin Galactic's Delta class vehicles, expected to start in 2026.

💳 The issue of commissions //
Based on the technical documentation for developers, Telegram plans to keep the commission of less than 5% for withdrawing “Stars” on Fragment. Its final size depends on the terms of purchase - so, for 50 “Stars” it will amount to 4.44% in the US.
☝️ The commission in this case is more of a technical nature - Telegram plans to use it to cover withdrawal costs, but not to earn money.
If a developer decides not to withdraw funds, but to spend them on promotion within Telegram Ads, he will not have to pay a commission to the messenger. Moreover, Telegram will also compensate Apple and Google's commission by providing a 30% bonus.
“Stars” will be available to developers to pay for advertising 21 days after receiving them.
If Apple and Google's payment systems are bypassed, Telegram faces removal from app stores. Therefore, bots and mini-apps that ignore the Stars integration will be blocked.
