Periorbital Dermoid cyst
⭕Dermoid cyst : it is a sac that appears under the surface of the skin .it contains collection of tissues as teeth , skin tissue and glands that secret oil or sweet .
It mostly appears since birth as it developed intrauterine.
It is a type of germ cell tumors .
⭕Managment
In most cases it is benign and it could be Surgically removed .
In some cases it may be infected so we must treat the infection first then remove it Surgically to avoid the Spread of the infection

Mature Cataract .
⭕Cataract : means opacification of the eye Lens leading to cloudy vision .
⭕Causes : Cataract could develop from aging or injury to the lens tissue . Also it could araise as a complication of other medical condition as DM
Or after Surgery or after long term steroid medication .
⭕Symptoms
📍Blurred vision
📍Haloes around the light flashes .
📍Deminish the vision at night .
📍Frequent change of the eye glasses .
📍Double vision ( diplopia ) if a single eye is affected .
⭕Managment :
Through replacement of the that Opacified lens by another one .
📍Phacoemulsification : the best method .
📍Extracapsular Cataract extraction ( ECCE )
📍Intracapsular Cataract Extraction (ICCE )

Splinter hemorrhage
🔴Splinter hemorrhages can develop after an injury or trauma to a fingernail or toe nail .
Other causes
🌸Bacterial endocarditis: Bacterial in the blood stream travels to the heart valve.
🌸Vasculitis: Blood vessel damage caused by inflammation.
🌸Systemic diseases: These cause inflammation in blood vessels, such as rheumatoid arthritis, nail psoriasis, lupus, scleroderma, peptic ulcer, malignancies.
🌸Fungal infection of the nail: Infections can trigger thinning of the nail bed and possible blood vessel damage.
🌸Diabetes: High glucose levels can damage blood vessels.
🌸Raynaud’s disease: Toes and fingers become oversensitive to coldness, which can damage capillaries in the nail bed.
🌸Cholesterol: Accumulation of this substance in the blood vessels of the fingernails can result in damage.
🌸Splinter hemorrhages can also occur as a side effect of certain medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These medications can cause bleeding when taken in high doses.
