On Intellectual Sloth The comments prove how intellectually lazy many people are. They don't even bother to read the whole context, but start damning Murad Nazarov flagrantly.  It is not that construction business owners like Nazarov want to carry out large-scale "deforestation" in Tashkent to open more space for their "buildings." No. He is raising a critical issue: the lack of transparency.  The rules restricting the cutting of trees may exist, but some business owners have found ways to circumvent them. And it is obvious that the rules need to be updated if there is a breach.  Nazarov is pointing out the breach and offering his solution: "We shouldn't have rules, but a proper system so that whenever trees are cut for reconstruction or renovation purposes, the same or more amount of trees are planted beforehand." This change brings transparency to otherwise corrupt land leasing for business purposes.  And some said we already have enough buildings for everyone in the city. Pardon, but I beg to differ. The average price of a 3-room apartment in Tashkent is so high that a normal Uzbek needs ages (if not their entire life) just to buy a proper home. Competition brings options. It lowers the prices. Makes everyone, in a way, happy.  Yes. We need more construction, renovation, and reconstruction---all for a better system. There will be trade-offs. But transparency in dealing with the trade-offs is better than pretending to follow the boundaries that only a few acknowledge.  Only if we became at least a bit less intellectually indolent.

Everyone hates boring presentations. Often, they are just shallow words organized in unbeautiful bullet points, devoid of soul and cultural vision. It's like capitalism vomiting on Google Slides. But I have added real art to the slides at Agora. The matching is not random but careful, each reflecting the subtle meaning behind each slide. I am attempting to create culture with Agora—one that goes beyond monetary transactions. Our dive into human creativity might be limited to writing within the program, but everything we do, down to the tiniest of details such as slides, reflects humanity's insurmountable protest in the face of the abstract.

I have been quite silent on my blog lately. So, as a gesture of comeback, I decided to make a quick "life updates" post. 1. I have a cat now. Not exactly mine, but my sister’s. But lowkey my first experience petting a pet. It is bigger now. His name is “pookie” 2. Took up tennis again. Without any practice in the last 3 years, I am left with noob skills. We formed a group to practice weekly, though the other guys were not active quite. 3. Had a two-day visit to Samarkand. Nothing big happened, just some minor family function. It was my first time back in my homeland in the last two years. Time is flying) 4. Satashkent team-building in the Sukok hills. The guys called it hiking; I’d call it tread-milling at a half-pace. 5. And our Silk Stride sessions are going good for now. We are preparing for the Zaamin marathon, which is happening after 10 days. So far, these are the minor updates. I will make separate posts on more important changes later. @husan_thinking
