Every year one or other way, we were getting questions in the form of Extreme Statements in the UPSC CSE Prelims. Here the Statement 2 - No water enters the Red Sea from rivers. (Here they are telling no rivers were draining into the sea - so the statement is wrong) If they given - No water enters the Red Sea from major rivers. (It may be correct) Still the age-old tricks of eliminating extreme statements holds a key in UPSC CSE Prelims. #Prelims2024

🔸The Delimitation Commission is to work without any executive influence. 🔸The Constitution mandates that the Commission’s orders are final and cannot be questioned before any court as it would hold up an election indefinitely. 🔸The Commission is supposed to determine the number and boundaries of constituencies in a way that the population of all seats, so far as practicable, is the same. 🔸The Commission is also tasked with identifying seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. 🔸In the history of the Indian republic, Delimitation Commissions have been set up four times — 1952, 1963, 1973 and 2002 under the Acts of 1952, 1962, 1972 and 2002. 2/2 #Polity

This is the first time the UPSC has asked about the author of a book in the Prelims 2024 exam. Just UPSC Thoughts - Be alert on these lines (In 2022, UPSC asked a question related to sports and after that in every institute kept asking the sports related questions in their respective test series - But after 2022, the sports questions were not taken up at the same pace by the UPSC) >>>> The same case may also takes place with the books and author too >>>>> Be alert in your preparation in these lines >>>>> UPSC follows dynamic pattern and question set every year.
