01 The table provides data on the sources of police budget in a non-specified area of Britain in 2017 and 2018, while the pie charts compare the proportion of money spent on three different sectors.
Overall, as the amount of money coming from all sources increased between two years, the total police budget grew noticeably. Notably, the percentage of money allocated to salaries decreased, while the opposite occurred for technology. However, the amount of spending on buildings and transport remained unchanged.
According to the table, the total budget of police in the area was 304,7 million pounds sterling in 2017. The primary source of police budget was national government, providing 175,5 million pounds, while the figure for local taxes was nearly two times lower. The amount of money that came from other sources was a mere 38 million pounds. 2018 saw a marked rise in the total budget of police to 318,6 million pounds. The amount of money that came from local taxes increased by more than 10 million pounds, whereas there was a slight rise in the amount of money coming from other 2 sources.
A glance at the pie charts reveals that the proportion of money directed to salaries of officers and staff decreased from 75% in 2017 to 69% in 2018, while the figure for technology almost doubled, from 8% to 14%. In the following year, there was a noticeable increase in both figures, reaching 5,2 % and 5,5% respectively. During the period between 1992 and 1996, the was a significant fall in the proportion of absent employees, reaching a low of almost 4%. However, this figure then experienced growth and recovered its peak in 1992 in the final year. In France, the percentage of absent workers decreased gradually and reached a low of 3 % in 2001.
As for Sweden, the percentage of workers who did not show up rose drastically from 3% in 1991 throughout the whole span and this figure accounted for about 4,5 % of total workers in the country. 15 The bar chart chart compares the life expectancy in four different counties in 2008, while the table illustrates how the life expectancy in those countries changed from 1953 to 2008.
Overall, Japan had the highest life expectancy in 2008, while the reverse is true for Indonesia. It is also noticeable that the life expectancy in Korea and Indonesia increased dramatically over the period shown, while there were slight rises in the figures for the USA and Japan.
According to the bar chart, an average person in Japan was expected to live about 82 years in Japan in 2008, which was noticeably higher than the figures for other countries. The life expectancy in Korea and the USA was close to each other, at around 79 and 76 respectively. Indonesia stood out as the country with the lowest life expectancy figure with 70 years.
The table reveals that the highest growth was observed in Indonesia. In 1953, the life expectancy in this country was approximately 55. By 2008, this figure grew by 15,7.

Overall, France spent more money on perfume and computers, while the reverse is true for other three goods. It is also noticeable that both the British and the French spent most of their money on cars, whereas the least money was spent on perfume in the UK compared to cameras in France.
In terms of cars, people in the UK spent about £ 450,000 on this as opposed to the French at £400, 000. Similarly the British expenditure on books was far higher than that of France(over £400,000 and £300,000 respectively). As for cameras, the amount of expenditure on books by the British was more than twice as high as that of the French.
Regarding the French dominated goods, people in France spent about £350,000 on computers, while the figure for the British was £400,000.
