al-Imam al-Albani رحمه الله: “The Shia strike their faces and chests with metal out of grief for al-Hussain’s murder. Why do they not grieve over the death of our Prophet ‎ﷺ when his death is a calamity larger than that of al-Hussain’s عليه السلام death? Indeed that is clearcut misguidance.” 📚al-Huda wal Noor 642

Shaykh Rabi al-Madkhali حفظه الله: “The killer of al-Hussain was the wicked Ubaydulllah bin Ziyad, and the ones more wicked than him are the Shia who deceived al-Hussain and made him leave Makkah to al-Kufa and pledged allegiance to him. And when he came to them they betrayed him and killed him and his family. So what is the reason for all this crying across all these centuries when it was your betraying ancestors who betrayed him and unsheathed their swords against him and killed him and the people from Bani Hashim who were with him and others?” 📚 al-Majmu’ 12/329

Shaykh Rabi al-Madkhali حفظه الله: “When al-Hussain discovered the betrayal of the Rawafid, he regretted [leaving Makkah] and requested from the army of Ibn Ziyad to allow him to either: 1- Return to Makkah 2- Go to one of the fortresses of the Muslims and fight with them 3- Go directly to Yazid [bin Mu’awiya] But this army, made up of evil Shias, refused all of that and killed him.” 📚al-Majmu’ 12/327

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: "As for making the day of Ashura a time of mourning because of the killing of al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) on that day, then this is an act of those whose efforts are lost in this worldly life while they think they are doing good. Neither Allah nor His Messenger commanded making the days of the prophets' misfortunes and deaths a time of mourning, let alone those who are less than them" 📚 Lata'if al-Ma'arif 113

Shaykh Salih al-‘Usyami حفظه الله: “Do not consider the punishment of Allah for the unjust people to be slow, for it is delayed to become greater; as Allah ﷻ says: "So do not be impatient for them. We only count out [a fixed number] for them" [19:84]. In al-Tabari's Tafsir, it is stated: "He says: We only delay their destruction so that they may increase in sin, and We count all their deeds to recompense them for all of them, and We did not delay their destruction because We intended good for them." -From the Shaykh’s X account
