Many people believe that they cannot succeed because they cannot control their emotions, but that’s not true.
Even if you could control your emotions, most people still wouldn’t succeed.
Emotions are not the cause; they are the result.
Your emotions reflect how you perceive trading.
The most important factor for trading without fear or anxiety is thorough preparation, practice, and the deep understanding and trust that arise from them.
No matter how skilled you are at meditation or breathing techniques to control your emotions, if you have flawed thinking, a system without an edge, and reckless position sizing while trading inconsistently, you will go bankrupt, no matter how calm you feel.
Saying, "I went bankrupt, but I can control my emotions, so it’s fine," is meaningless.
The issue for most people is not that they "cannot control their emotions," but rather that they "haven’t done the necessary preparation."
The real problem lies in skipping those steps due to laziness and greed, trying to achieve success quickly and easily.
