like people already think ai art is lame and cheap and lazy but it did - and is still doing- its harm of making art this small cheap thing nobody thinks its worth much, the only way youll find value in making art is that its an incredible experience for you, yes maybe you'll be the weird person in the room but its a lame room anyways so who cares. and again, ai just made it much worst, they internet always was horrible to artist, its too connected for your own sake.
| 2 | ill write it better later i promise | 136 |
| 3 | that basically means being an artist on the internet will for sure mean you're not being as creative as you can be, partly because you'll lose your will to be creative cause you'll lose the illusion of being original or special - and partly because as an environment it will never welcome you being your true self, cause it doesn't care for that, its not optimised for you to know yourself. you're not a part of the equation, all you're needed for as an artist is to look hard into that space, see what's popular and make 10 copies of it.
humans weren't programmed to be able to see this much art all the time, we weren't supposed to look at a drawing and know "oh this is this style plus this style and these things are done like that artist dose these things and ...", we were programmed to be very impressed that our friend made this little cool thing, we were meant to find an art book every now and then and literally dream and think about it for months and months to end
and don't get me wrong, thinking that your creativity isn't needed wont just wash the desire for creativity away, if you're a person with creative needs you'll be miserable if you don't fulfill them, you'll hate yourself and everything you do, you'll be mad at yourself and everyone around you for no reason, you'll even start hating art at one point.
so make your world smaller, make stuff you think are cool, share it with close friends and family and forget everything else. what you make is incredibly special, its creative and original, its your own, and you should be very proud of making it. | 141 |
| 4 | it's sad how the internet started as a place for discovery to becoming a place where curiosity goes to die. | 125 |
| 5 | this has been my favorite little thing for the past 3 months, their first one was such a joy but this is the real stuff. | 200 |

| 10 | you're not uninterested in things, you're not educated enough to be interested. give yourself the chance to be something more than the direct product of your environment, to love what you always thought isn't suited for you, make sure you're the one making the choice. | 448 |
| 11 | one of the saddest things an artist can say is "I don't enjoy the process but the result is worth it." or something along these lines. like good god you're missing the whole point | 255 |
| 12 | “I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”

| 17 | serious learning requires high levels of structure. freedom alone wont get you far.
a good way to test that or figure out a structure in general is to try and see if what you're learning could be project based, where you're starting from a general look at the finale work you want to achieve and then going in and learning the little things that make up the work. not everything works like that but there is always some structure you can follow if you do good research.
otherwise failing by constantly getting lost isn't as valuable as failing while doing the things you actually wanna do. that's why projects are great. you know for sure you're failing in the right place, failing at the heights value, cause not all failure is equal. | 278 |
