Cholecystitis: It is an inflammation of the gall bladder that may occurs as an acute or chronic process.
Acute cholecystitis: It is usually caused by gallstones or
cholelithiasis.
Chronic cholecystitis: It is due to inefficient bile emptying, fibrotic and contracted gallbladder.
Acolculous cholecystitis: It is caused by infection usually H. Pylori, trauma & burn of the gallbladder.
