Hello, We have once again been targeted by MEV bot attacks on the Ethereum network. We want to make it clear that this is not a failure of Iris itself or of its smart contract. This attack is related to liquidity pools on Uniswap and to the way the Ethereum network operates. The bots executed transactions totaling approximately $5,500 in volume. The impact on the price was significant because IrisToken is a micro-cap asset. In this type of market, even relatively small amounts can trigger substantial price movements due to limited liquidity and low market capitalization. Likewise, a similar amount could have a strong impact in the opposite direction. To be completely transparent, buying pressure of around $5,000 could bring the price back to its pre-attack level. This is therefore not an unrealistic scenario. We have increased the tax rate to 15%. We will not make promises regarding the token price, as that is determined by the market, not by us. However, we are confident that this situation can be offset through growing adoption and ecosystem usage. A low-market-cap asset can move very quickly in either direction, both downward and upward. We have also disabled the IRISTOKEN/ETH pool, as the bots were exploiting this arbitrage route. We will convert those ETH reserves into WQUBIC and maintain a 100% WQUBIC liquidity pool. At this time, this is the most effective solution available to eliminate this type of attack. ### Looking Ahead We remain focused on building. Every project goes through difficult stages before reaching its full potential. We are currently working on two new products that we will introduce soon. These products will enable the DAO to generate and accumulate stablecoins, providing the ability to execute significant buybacks following events like this. If these products perform as expected, situations of this nature could be absorbed after only a few months of activity. One step at a time. Today, we experienced an attack from MEV bots that executed multiple buy and sell transactions. As a result, it has become necessary to temporarily increase the transaction tax from 0.25% to 3% in order to discourage this type of attack. This increase will be temporary, and the tax rate will be gradually reduced as the threat from MEV bots decreases. The team has already taken action to immediately raise the tax to 3%. This DAO proposal aims to maintain the 3% tax rate for now and then gradually reduce it over time. This vote will remain open for 48 hours. If the result is NO, we will restore the tax rate to 0.25%. If the result is YES, we will maintain the 3% tax rate and gradually reduce it as the situation improves. 📢 Announcements: Staking deflation is now active. We have reduced all staking yields by one unit. Yields will continue to decrease over time to ensure a gradual reduction in reward emissions and to guarantee the sustainability of rewards in the long term. This deflation adjustment will take place every quarter. It also helps reward our earliest supporters. Please note that this only affects new stakers. This change does not impact migrated stakes, all migrated positions will retain their original reward rates. Only new stakers will be affected. 📢 Announcement #2: This month's rewards have been distributed to Special Holders. You may now begin claiming your rewards again. The rewards for special holders will be distributed in 2 days. Those who have not completed the migration will not be able to receive them. Since there are several months of pending rewards, they will be distributed in batches of two months at a time until all the outstanding rewards have been fully paid. This means that if, for example, the total rewards owed amount to 1M representing 10 months, each month we will pay the rewards for the current month + 1 month of pending rewards, and so on for the following 9 months. If you do not claim your rewards for a given month, they will simply be returned to the next pool and redistributed to all special holders during the next distribution. Complete your migration to avoid losing your rewards.
