02 ICYMI🚨☀️ NOAA just classified this Geomagnetic Solar Storm as a category G5, which is the HIGHEST catagory.
This is a BIG deal, because it’s pretty rare that this happens. The last time this took place was in 2003.
“Widespread voltage control problems and protective system problems can occur," NOAA warns. "Some grid systems may experience complete collapse or blackouts. Transformers may experience damage.
Radio transmissions and satellite navigation may also be disrupted.
The last G5 geomagnetic storm, in October 2003, caused power outages in Sweden and damaged transformers in South Africa.
A geomagnetic storm also means aurora borealis, otherwise known as the northern lights, could be seen as far south as Alabama and in northern California.

“Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon is likely headed to prison after an appeals court upheld his conviction for contempt of Congress.
He was handed a four-month sentence in 2022 for refusing to give evidence to a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

There has been not one, not two, but THREE “Tornado Emergency” warnings from the National Weather Service in the past THREE DAYS at various locations all across our country. 😳⚠️🌪️
I have NEVER seen that before, and I have tracked the weather for a long, long time.
Just to give some perspective, a “Tornado Emergency” event is supposed to be EXTREMELY RARE. They are reserved only for the MOST violent, and devastating Tornadoes that threaten heavily populated areas. It’s NOT every day you see one of those.

28 ICYMI🚨 The Storm Prediction Center has issued a VERY RARE “High-Risk” category for severe weather today for a lot of Central/North Oklahoma and some of Southern Kansas. Just to give you an idea how uncommon this is, SPC has not designated a “High-Risk” area in May since, May 20, 2019. The last time a “High-Risk” category was designated period was March 25th, 2021.
This is the HIGHEST classification for severe weather from the National Weather Service. Large hail, long-track violent DEADLY Tornados, and severe flooding are threatening MILLIONS of Americans in the Great Plains today.
“High-Risk” is designated by the color pink. Three is another historic Tornado outbreak expected. Maybe one of the WORST in recent memory.
