. To manually install extensions into UnGoogled-Chromium 1. In UnGoogled-Chromium, get your Chromium Version. i. Click the three-dot menu ii. Write down the Version number (i.e. 96.0.4664.93) 2. In Brave, go to Chrome Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions 3. Search for the extension, and go to it's Chrome Web Store page. Copy everything after last forward slash in the URL. . How to Remove Snapcraft From Ubuntu (And possibly other Debian based distros) Note: Linux Mint does not come with snap 1. List all installed snap packages: snap list 2. Remove each package listed in step 1. Must be done individually. You cannot remove the "core" package sudo snap remove --purge package-name 3. Clear the snap cache: sudo rm -rf /var/cache/snapd/ 4. Uninstall snapd and the snap GUI tool sudo apt autoremove --purge snapd gnome-software-plugin-snap 5. Remove the snap preferences from your home directory. rm -fr ~/snap 6. Put the snapd package on hold, which prevents it from being installed or updated automatically. sudo apt-mark hold snapd Isn't open-source grand!! So what can people do to limit the censorship in their own lives and to help build a less censored Internet? An Internet that does not exude quite so much propaganda? FULL STOP -GET OFF GOOGLE! Stop using google as your search engine. There are so many good search engines available now. I use Duck, Duck GO - but there are many others. The advantages are that the results are not politically motivated. A Google Search is no longer a Search engine, but “Google Ads” engine. Google and facebook team up to personalize your results ads. They comb through your messages and feed you what they think you want to buy. It is a biased search. The ads are always placed at the top of your search results. Duck, Duck Go stops Facebook and Google from accessing your searches. But worse than the ad issue, is that now we have evidence that Google is manipulating the searches for their own political machinations. What happened with the “mass formation” example above shows that google searches have become nothing more than a propaganda arm for the US government and the oligarchs. While you are at it, consider dumping Google mail. Many people have migrated to Proton mail because is it fully encrypted and your emails are not scanned to bias your searches. I do maintain legacy google email addresses, because this is how many people know how to get hold of me but eventually, I will terminate these too. But these days I use proton mail as my main account as much as possible. FULL STOP - GET OFF OF YOUTUBE whenever possible. Youtube is censoring COVID-19 related content to fall in line with Faucism. That means if the messaging is at all different from what the FDA or CDC or NIAID promotes - as directed by King Biden and Consigliere Fauci, the videos are removed and the creator blocked after three “strikes” of uploading such videos This absolute has created both a situation of censorship for the user, but also self-censorship by the creators of content. So, let’s all work to build alternative platforms for our videos. I know, some videos we have to watch via youtube. But as much as possible, use alternatives like Vimeo, Rumble and Bitchute. Seems Dr Robert W. Malone has discovered that DuckGo is a better search engine than Google. Right now he is pushing DuckGo search as well as DuckGo browser. Someone needs to introduce him to Linux and FOSS. He has much bigger platform than any of us. Maybe if someone told him about Brave he might promote that as well.

Pi-hole allows you to block IP addresses so your devices will not access them. You can block certain corporations, such as Amazon or Google, or block everything and allow only certain IPs, which is great for blocking kid's access to anything other than their school, and a few trusted websites, such as your church website. You can find some great blocklists here: https://www.iblocklist.com/lists One good use for blocklists is blocking all the IP addresses in the USA when downloading Bittorrent movies or music. Nobody outside the USA really cares about copyrights, so it lessens your chance being on the radar. QBittorent and Transmission both have an area to put in your blocklists. #Raspberry_Pi_VPN_at_Home

. Git is open-source software for tracking software changes. GitHub is a website where people put their software code for development collaboration. You can use any server you want with Git, but GitHub has become the standard one. Here is the free "How to use Git and GitHub" course link for Udacity.
