He attended Markaz Raodotul-Uloom, popularly called Arolawa, Ayetoro in Yewa North of Ogun State. He has a farm in Erinjo, Ondo State. He has his nuclear family in Abeokuta and his extended family in Imasayi. He left Erinjo, Ondo State in the early morning of Tuesday, 5th September for Abeokuta, Ogun State. He arrived at his Idi-Igba Community, Mango Bus Stop, Oke Ata, Abeokuta safely and was seen in the neighborhood, but shortly after his arrival, he went out not to be seen. Initial thought was that he would go for a stroll, and would be back until his whereabouts remained unknown. His phone is switched off and all effort to locate him has been unsuccessful. A formal complaint has been made at Lafenwa Police Station, Abeokuta, Ogun State. 20 YEARS OLD BOY ARRESTED FOR KILLING FATHER FOR MONEY RITUAL The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested Ridwan who allegedly murdered his father for ritual in Ogun. The statement is contained in a press statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf. The statement said that at about 12:00hrs on Thursday, 31st August, 2023, officers of the Corps on routine patrol heard a strange noise in a building while at Oshoku Village in Ijebu North Local Government Area. The Officers entered the building to confirm what was happening, but to the officers' dismay, they found a man's body lying lifeless in a pool of his own blood and the alleged killer fled the scene. The statement read further that Ganzallo instructed the Zonal Commander, Ijebu Zonal Command, ACC Marcus Ayankoya to get the suspected killer, Ridwan arrested under 24hrs. The suspected killer was nabbed where he was hiding in a bush. He confessed to have killed his father, Ishau with a rope tied to his neck and a knife used to remove the needed parts of his body for ritual purpose. Ganzallo noted that the alleged killer told the officers of the Corps that he only removed the private part, larynx, and just four teeth of his father as requested by a ritualist he identified as Baba Kekere. Ganzallo further revealed that when he was asked about the whereabouts of the ritualist, he refused to give details. Ganzallo stated that the alleged killer had been transfered to the Nigeria Police Force, Ogbere Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution. So-Safe Corps Arrests 5 Suspected 'One Chance' Syndicate in Ogun, Recover 16 Memory Cards, Phones Five suspects, including a female, have been arrested in Ogun State for allegedly involved in serial 'one chance' operations. According to a statement by the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, a taxi cab driver, Kehinde Ogunlade, and his partner in crime, four of whom have been arrested, was always in the habit of dispossessing passengers of their personal effects in the Abeokuta metropolis. Luck, however, ran out on them on Friday, August 25 when operatives of the Corps on routine patrol acted on credible information that the notorious driver, Kehinde, was sighted somewhere within the metropolis, and had just robbed a passenger. On receipt of the information, the state Commader, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, detailed his men to go after the culprits, only to discover that they had escaped from the scene. The statement e-signed by the Corps' Public Relations Officer (PRO), AC Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the state Commader, disclosed that the suspects were later traced to their hideout at Itoko in the Ita-Morin Adedotun area of the ancient city, where the five suspects were arrested. A preliminary investigation conducted by the So-Safe Corps revealed that the principal actors, Kehinde Ogunlate and Yemi Ayoola, after dispossessing passengers of their handsets, sold same to one Olonade Dele. So-Safe listed the suspects as Taoreed Adeosun, Adeosun Funmilayo, Ayoola Yemi, Ogunlate Kehinde and Olonade Dele, stating that, the female suspect, Funmilayo, picked one of the stolen phones from her husband, Taoreed, and sold it to an untraceable buyer. In their confessional statements, the Corps disclosed that the suspects owned up to the crime, adding that, robbing passengers was their profession, "and after every successful operation, they drove the victims to secluded spots, to ease their escape. Recovered from them was their operational taxi cab, 16 memory cards and assorted phones. Meanwhile, the suspects, the statement added, have been transfered to SWAT office at Magbon in Abeokuta, for further investigation and likely prosecution. #ogunupdate

Meet Israel Ugwuogwu; the Nigerian Graduate Winning Accolades With His Rare Talents When Max Roser, an American Economist and Philosopher opined that “Talent and ability are everywhere, but opportunity is not” he must have heard about Israel Oluchukwu Ugwuogwu, a young talented Nigerian graduate of Material and Metallurgical Engineering, who recently thrilled the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, community with his newly built airplanes. Israel, a fresh graduate of one of Nigeria's leading universities; the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, said he began to build airplanes from childhood with styrofoams and other materials he could afford at that time, as he had always desired to be a world-class aeronautical engineer. Flying the airplane at the near-crowded Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, University of Nigeria, Nsukka recently, members of the university community and other spectators both old and young were seen jubilating and wondering how he got such rare talents. “My dream has always been how and when I’ll become an aeronautical engineer but I have a very poor family background that has limited my growth so much. I spent my childhood building airplanes. One of our teachers back then gave us an assignment to construct a moving object, and I constructed an airplane. That airplane won me a scholarship during my secondary school days because it was able to take off. It was like magic to my teachers because they hadn’t seen such a thing before.” Israel narrated. Israel explained that although he does not regret studying material and metallurgical engineering, he would have gone for aeronautical if he had been financially equipped to do so. The young graduate who recalled how his mother used to seize his airplane materials each time he refused to sleep nor eat because he was bent on finishing his plane projects at that point, also decried how many of his friends discouraged him from the “fruitless” journey of building airplanes because people with such talents are rarely supported back in Nigeria. “They tell me I am wasting my time building airplanes. They say no one will support me and that I had better looked for something else that will fetch me money to do. That Nigeria is not America where young talents are supported. I feel bad each time they give me reasons to quit but each time I want to give up, the desire to continue will not let me,” Israel decried. Asked how he acquired the knowledge and materials for his construction, Israel noted that he has neither seen a live airplane nor had the opportunity to receive any conventional training on airplane construction, but that whenever he lays his head to sleep, the inspiration takes over him. And he begins to see how and what to put together to make it work. He also recounted how he paid through the nose to import the batteries and other expensive materials needed to fly the planes and make them balance when they take off. "Sometimes, the inspiration takes over me that the only thing I think about is how to build more airplanes of different sizes and shapes. I am almost going depressed because I feel like something is caged inside of me that needs to be unleashed but I haven't got sponsors to help me unleash them. I need more training. I need more education. And this is why I seek help from good spirited individuals and the government to please help me out." Israel added. A visit to Eha-Alumona, the hometown of this young talent, revealed his widowed mother in a pitiable condition. Mrs Florence Ugwuogwu lamented that despite the fact that no one taught Israel how to go about airplane construction, he began to gather materials of various sizes to build them. "I used to beat him seriously for littering my house with his materials but not anymore after I discovered it is in him. He told me one day that he will build a live airplane that will carry me. I don’t have money to sponsor his career. It was through the mercy of God that he even graduated from the university.
