Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Sabarmati Ashram where he inaugurated the Kochrab Ashram and launched the Master Plan of the Gandhi Ashram Memorial. He paid homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and visited Hriday Kunj. He also visited the exhibition and planted a sapling.

On March 7, 2024, the Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister approved the India Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission. The India AI Mission will establish a large ecosystem catalyzing AI innovation through strategic programs and partnerships across the public and private sectors. Through this, democratization of access to computing, improving data quality, developing indigenous AI capabilities.

PM Modi virtually inaugurated the Sela tunnel project built by the Border Roads Organization in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The tunnel, costing Rs 825 crore, will improve all-weather connectivity. Constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) at an altitude of 13,000 feet, the tunnel is located on the road from Tezpur in Assam to Tawang in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project, costing Rs 825 crore, aims to provide all-weather connectivity and enhance the preparedness of the armed forces in the region.
