Hi all, here is the first Paper 1 Revision Package (soft copy). It is recommended that you view this on ur computer/tablet/phone and work out the answers on foolscap. Desired speed to achieve is 1 min per mark with a score of at least 38. I remember as a student, I was hitting around 35-40 mins (with checking) and scoring around 38-40 [cant always be perfect]. General comments: Would say that this is a fairly easy paper. Some questions require deeper thinking but they are not the kind of impossible-to-solve kind of questions. However, there could have been many careless mistakes made. e.g. The potentiometer qn is one of the trickiest I have ever seen 😱 but fortunately worth little marks. Do note P1 is still up for grabs and stands for 30% of your entire subject. As I always tell my students, that is a real game changer because 30% can ultimately help you jump by 6 grades (assuming full marks). So let's gun down for paper 1 after the rest of your papers are cleared! 😜

Hi All! It’s now down to your physics paper 2 :) and here are some helpful reminders. Paper 2 is 1 h 45 mins. 🌟Time Management: Section A - 50 marks, 50 mins Section B - 30 marks, 40 mins (as there are more data to process) Checking / buffer - 15 mins 🌟As u read questions, underline all keywords and be extremely alert 🌟Remember your units!!! If u want your answer in SI units, all variables subbed in must be in their SI units 🌟All final answers to appropriate significant numbers (if unsure u can leave them all to 2 sf). Example: 8 cm must be written as 8.0 cm and 143.5N (exact ans) must be written 140 N 🌟 If a question requires using an answer from an earlier part, remember to use the exact answer and not the rounded off answer 🌟 Always write the relevant formulae before substituting values (this helps u avoid mistakes and earn marks from ECF - error carry forward) 🌟 Use pencil for all diagrams and graphs 🌟 Always use physics key words/phrases to answer qns. If u find a qn difficult, identify the topic, then the concept and formula to the qn. 🌟 When facing a difficult question, stay calm.
