Greetings
We would like to inform you that Cambridge Academy has now received permission
from the Addis Ababa Education Bureau to register and prepare students who are
interested in taking the eighth-grade Ethiopian National Exam. Therefore, if you
are interested in your son/daughter taking the exam, please fill out and send us
the consent form we sent to your children by January 18, 2024.
Note that:
1. Students registering for the exam must purchase textbooks to help them
prepare for the exam.
2. Parents/guardians of students are expected to support the efforts of the
school so that students can achieve excellence.
3. Students who register for the exam are required to take a half-day tutorial
every Saturday.
4. We would like to inform you that we will not accept the completed consent
form if it is returned to us after the above-mentioned deadline.

I am writing to inform you that on 8th December 2023, Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Day will be celebrated throughout Ethiopia. At Cambridge Academy Ethiopia, we will be celebrating this event by allowing students to wear attire that represents their nationality and tradition.
This is a day to celebrate and recognize the diverse languages and cultures that are representative of Ethiopia, in the spirit of unity and cooperation. These are values that are recognized and upheld at CAE, which is home to students from as many as 40 different countries.

Welcome back to the 2nd half of this term. I trust that you all had a lovely break with your children during the half-term break.
Thank you for answering to our call in enabling your child to arrive at school on time. We had a good number of children on time today enabling teachers to start lessons promptly. Thank you!
This is a reminder that the school gates will be closed from 8:15. If you arrive with your child/children after this time, you are to use the ENTRANCE GATE. Your child's name will be written down and your child will be asked to walk quickly to their class. Early Years children who arrive late will be escorted by a member of staff to the Primary Reception Office and then taken to their respective classes.
For security purposes, we are asking parents and/or drivers to leave the school premises soon after dropping their children from the school car park. Additionally, as gates have to be closed after drop off time is over, it will be difficult to manage the exit of the cars still inside.
Thank you for supporting the school in enabling students to come to school promptly and making sure that they are safe once in the school compound. Your efforts to this end are highly appreciated.

ልጅዎ በሰዓቱ ወደ ትምህርት ቤት እንዲደርስ ለማስቻል ስለተባበሩን እናመሰግናለን።ዛሬ መምህራን በፍጥነት ትምህርት እንዲጀምሩ የሚያስችላቸው በቂ ቁጥር ያላቸው ልጆች በሰዓታቸው ተገኝተውላቸዋል ፤ እናመሰግናለን!
የትምህርት ቤቱ በሮች ከ 2፡15 ጀምሮ እንደሚዘጉ ለማሳሰብ እንወዳለን። ከዚህ ሰዓት በኋላ ከደረሱ ግን የመግቢያ በሩን መጠቀም ይኖርብዎታል። የልጅዎ ስም ይጻፋል እናም ልጅዎ በፍጥነት ወደ ክፍሉ እንዲሄድ ይደረጋል። ዘግይተው ለሚመጡ የመጀመርያ ዓመት ተማሪዎች ከአንድ አስተማሪ ጋር ወደ አንደኛ ደረጃ እንግዳ መቀበያ ስፍራ ይወሰዳሉ ፤ ከዚያም ወደ ክፍላቸው ይወሰዳሉ።

Welcome back from the half-term break. We hope that it was a time of rest, especially for our students.
Timely arrival is crucial for a smooth start to the school day, allowing students to settle in, prepare, and engage in early morning activities. It enables them to fully benefit from valuable learning experiences and interactions, while establishing a positive routine and promoting responsibility and discipline. Arriving on time also demonstrates respect for classmates, teachers; setting a positive example and fostering a culture of punctuality. We would like to thank all the parents who have continued to support the school in this line.
To cultivate this culture, from Monday 23rd October, the school will close its gates at 8:15 am and no student or car will be allowed in the compound. The implication is that the students will be marked as absent and recording it in their End of Term Progress Report. Parents are urged to support their child in being punctual.
School gates are open from 7:00 am to ease early morning car park congestion. There are teachers in school to supervise students until the start of the school day.
