Here is the quote provided to CNN when my client was asked for a comment. “Clerk Scott holds an elected constitutional office and she has the duty, authority, and obligation to conduct accurate elections. SOS Benson gave orders for all Michigan clerks to delete election data in violation of state and federal laws. Clerk Scott refuses to delete data in violation of law. Additionally, SOS Benson has no authority to remove Scott from office. SOS Benson has repeatedly stated the election systems are secure yet admitted under oath that she only has a basic understanding of how the machines work and it’s the vendor and manufacturer that has the knowledge as it relates to the machines. Clerk Scott has obtained expert reports revealing that that it’s possible to see remotely on a tabulator who is voting, how they vote, and that election files can be manipulated remotely. Clearly this vendor controlled election system is not secure.” CNN refused to include the quote.
