Herpes zoster ▶️Prodromal symptoms Fever, malaise, local lymphadnopathy ▶️Primary lesion of herpes zoster Is localized grouped vesicles surrounded by erythematous base ▶️Most common symptoms of herpes zoster is severe pain ▶️Most common complication of herpes zoster is post herpetic neuralgia ▶️ Herpes zoster is usually unilateral May be bilateral in AIDS "immunosuppressed patient" ▶️Treatment of herpes zoster is acyclovir :800 mg 5 times for 7:10 days ▶️Post herpetic neuralgia :gabapenttin, vitamin B complex ▶️Cortisone 5:10 mg as anti inflammatory to prevent post herpetic neuralgia
